By a mustelid, I meant any animal in the Mustelidae family. Skunks used to be counted as mustelids, and they're still together in the Musteloidea
superfamily
, but skunks are now placed in the Mephitidae family. Mongooses
resemble
mustelids, but they're actually in a separate family of their own right: the Herpestidae family. Prairie dogs are in the Sciuridae family. I made this a bit hard on purpose :twisted:
