I know it's been mentioned in the thread, but I don't see it on the opening post so I'll mention it again (and probably get yelled at for missing something about it elsewhere in the thread) but the Jumping to a specific page number in the thread

To the left of the page-number boxes, there is a link that says "Page 13 of 13" -- click that and you get a popup box that allows you to enter a page number to jump to.

ooh Page x of x is clickable. FANCY!
And good, I can't wait to have my (and everyone else's) sex back, it will make catching up on "guys pt 2" slightly less confusing.Late twenties, early Thursdays- Mr. Flay

Yeah, the "Page X of X" thing needs to go in our FAQ Real Soon Now.ZONEACE wrote:And good, I can't wait to have my (and everyone else's) sex back, it will make catching up on "guys pt 2" slightly less confusing.
Yeah, obviously the 7th won't happen (blame Diablo II and the Mayans), but it's near the top of my list. I'm working on Preview on Hover right now, it's installed but not working right.Retired as of October 2014.- Mr. Flay

Preview on Hover is working again - but it may not be where you expect it. Hover the thread title in a forum, and you should get the first ~170 characters. I may get it working as well for last post of a thread, but that's for later. The new version allows us to exclude the content of certain bbcode tags from the preview, so if you can think of others we need to avoid, let me know. I've already ditched quote, spoiler, code, table, and img.
Also fiddled with some icons earlier (mostly fixing a bug with the PM button on Silver, and the Announcement icons in Sepia). If anything's missing/broken, let me know.Retired as of October 2014.- Nobody Special

did you move the Reply (Submit, whatever) button to the far right? If so, can you put it back?- Mr. Flay

As you can see in my sig, there's a way to set your gender now, albeit you have to go in there and do it manually. But is this a "temporary" fix, as in it's not how you want it done?- Mr. Flay

I'm also glad I can assert my gender on people. But, I was quite fond of the little icons, any chance those willl be coming back again? I don't know if there was a transgender one on the old boards, but if not it probably wouldn't be hard to create one.- Mr. Flay

Ah sorry, I should've read the thread properly before I started posting in it.
But while I'm here, I have something to add to the wishlist that I don't think has been suggested yet. Would it be possible to update the vote tag so that it displays as something more unique? Like how the quote and code tags create formatting that wouldn't be possible to replicate otherwise.
The current vote is easily replicable:
VOTE: Player
VOTE: Player
Which also means it could be messed with by fake-voters trying to exploit strict rulesets ("Votes must be made in a particular format or they won't be counted"), as discussed in this MD thread. If there was a voting tag that makes it very easy to see if the vote was valid or not, then mods who want to be strict and players in their games wouldn't have to worry about checking for fake votes. And mods who are more relaxed about voting methods can continue as before.- Mr. Flay

Thanks for reading the whole page! Not everything here yet, of course... and you've kind of caught one of the "wishlist" items that's still mostly in my head.
Eventually I'd like to have the VOTE: tag format based on your preferences - so if Fenchurch prefers, you see my votes that way. I prefer###vote: PlayerVOTE: Player(or something similar), but not everybody does. It'd be a limited subset of formats, but there's a couple different ones people prefer already out there "in the wild". For now, though, a bbcode was easiest to get up and running, and get people used to the idea.
Also, there IS a difference between the two you posted, it's just not obvious. Hover your cursor over the 'right' one...Retired as of October 2014. - Mr. Flay
