btw I just opened borno's profile, and he is not a first time player. first time on ms yes, but he played on epicmafia. i've never been there myself but I do know that they have faster cycles than ms does. borno should NOT be having any trouble posting or coming up with reads that are based on more than just activity levels. the only possible way I could even begin to rationalize him being a townie is that this is his first or one of his first games but that is not the case.

Ugh, sorry guys. I can't keep up with this game. I have been getting home and checking the forum to see that I have missed out on three pages of discussion and feel pretty useless. I guess I should request replacement.

open your mind. become receptive to new ideas and new ways to look at the game. gene is the most obvious townie in the game, and if you try to understand what I'm saying then you will learn a new way of reading newbie towns! wouldn't that be great?

That might be an exaggeration. Basically what I'm saying is that townies are suspicious of everyone, because they don't know who the scum are. NEWBIE townies are extra suspicious, because they have no idea how to find scum. They grasp at straws. Their techniques aren't refined, and they often come up overly complicated suspicions. This is not their fault. It's just because they don't have experience yet and they are starting from scratch.

Gene perfectly fits the above description of a newbie townie. He is clearly thinking things through but he comes up with convoluted or crazy ideas, especially in his first few posts. That is how to identify him as a town player. Borno does not look like he is "suspicious." He rated people by their activity. Borno does not appear suspicious of other players. Gene DOES. I would not expect a newbie scum to be able to fake gene's level of suspicion. Therefore, gene is probably town.

When you do things like this, you're only setting yourself up to mislynch a lot of people. If he's terrible mafia, you should be able to gauge his alignment. What is it?

honestly, nacho DOES look the worst right now. this is because you have to take his IC status into account. He is mod-confirmed experienced. He should be in here leading discussion. He should have reads. All he's done is poke around a bit and ask a few questions which he doesn't follow up on with reads

This is what I was referring to when I said he said he was knew. I meant new to Mafiascum. I have played on Epicmafia quite a lot as well, but it's still very different being on a forum, imo. So when I said he was new like me, that's all I meant.

This is so superficial it's ridiculous. What looks bad about Nacho if you ignore what pirate mollie says?

If you ignore that pirate mollie is saying that nacho isn't involved because he doesn't want to get picked out, it looks bad because he isn't scumhunting and we all know he can. If it makes you feel any better, I almost wrote your name down but didn't feel like doing any more explaining yesterday. This is because I am having a hard time pinning down what exactly it is that makes me suspicious of you.

From rereading parts today, I think that Levi and FLLhawk are the scummiest players in the game. VOTE: levi All you've done is post reads, make a couple comments, and basically say that you're going to lurk until you find the "correct candidate". That is not a town mindset.

Yes there is almost definitely one scum voting for me, possibly both, we'll see where my idea goes. I can go more in depth after lunch if you want, but honestly I think everyone's reasons for voting me don't indicate anything about their alignment. I haven't exactly played an exemplary game up till this point so it's easy for both scum and town to pick up things they don't like about my play.

I won't vote levi (that being said he needs to get here, i cant remember the last time we heard from that guy) with you but I would join you in an FLLhawk lynch push. In fact I've been trying to do so for awhile but for some reason he's got a decent amount of town cred.

FLLhawk just seems.... idk. It is hard to pin down. Disinterested in scumhunting, maybe? Both of his votes have been on whoever was the most talked about candidate at the time. That could be forgiven if it looked like he was looking for scum elsewhere, but I don't think he is. Most of his posts are about policy stuffs or pointless arguments. It seems like he's just picking stuff to argue/talk about that won't get him into any trouble.
