That kind of logic is loony. Obviously I have other reasons for not voting you. However, to summarize some of them, what exactly do you think my plan was to accomplish? It was to check if your scum or not. Since it almost failed, then why should I vote for you? There is no proof that your scum other than your connection with Glork. IMO, Glork has more to answer.

Oh my, a catfight between Sotty and c_d... sounds like a failure to communicate. c_d probably took MOS's role PM to heart, and Sotty is taking offense at him attempting to trick her. Can't we just all get along and lynch RotN? Pleeeease?
RedFox means nothing at this point. A few scrambled letters in a post is only mere coincidence and has nothing to do with it. I have received pms that have the "redfox" lettering and some come from people not even listed previously in this thread. RedFox could mean anything. In fact, Sotty is the one of the people who has used the term the most, though not in a scrambled manner. In my opinion, that's like lighting some kind of beacon or signal.
I was really talking about this my last post asking him why he hasn't voted for me.

Seems pretty obvious that Ranger is just lurking...a replacement perhaps?

The problem with replacing Ranger is that Ranger's defense is likely to be based on PM exchanges he may or may not have had with DP. His replacement will know nothing of this. This is what will happen if Ranger is replaced:

Town: "Why did your predecessor defend DP?"
Replacement: "I have no idea. Maybe some PMs"
Town: "Which PMs? Show us!"
Replacement: "I don't have them, so actually I can't defend myself at all."
Town: "Die, scum!"

What I suggest is to bypass this predictable scenario and go to 'Die, scum' right away. Or, we can wait for RotN to return. Whichever works for you.

Rotn's absence is plenty annoying. I'll wait just a little bit more before I decide to take the initiative concerning him.

Looks like it's CD or RotN today. I don't have a terribly strong preference either way. Though I suppose we can continue to grill CD tomorrow, since he's, y'know... actually active.
Unvote
for now. I'll make a final decision later.

Alright, while we wait...
I was really talking about this my last post asking him why he hasn't voted for me.
As I said, RedFox could mean anything. That was why the plan was created, to test out the theory. It didn't work thanks to the effort of one person.

To tell the truth, I informed just about everyone of the plan. The only one who didn't have the full details was N_lich. I didn't bother pming Rotn or sotty for obvious reasons. the only one who actually revealed it was Glork.

So if you want to know, the information that sotty revealed is nothing new to everyone since they knew in advance.

fos Glork
although weak, I still find it strange that out of everone I pmed, he's the only one who faltered.

This makes for a good point and I will not make the same mistake twice and let someone go unpunished. Only one way to make someone post and that’s apply pressure.

Okay, CD, I'm a little confused as to why you're FoSing me. I informed Sotty (whom I trust) of what I thought was a plan of a rather dubious nature. How does that make me suspicious? :?

Though I'm still suspicious of CD, I said I'd be willing to lynch RotN, too. Mostly because I believe that they're the two remaining scumbags. So I'll
Unvote CD, Vote: RotN
. Unless I miscounted, that puts him one from a lynch (Alexander, David, and Glork). *Holds out the hammer and waits for someone to strike*

Look, let's be reasonable about it. We have several ways to deal with RotN's lurkiness:
1. Ask the mod to get him replaced. As my post #255 outlines, this is practically useless.
2. Wait till he comes back. This may work for some people, but speaking for myself, I'd like to just play the goddarned game.
3. Ignore him and bandwagon someone else. While punishing a lurker is generally not the best thing, this avenue of action sounds too much like awarding a lurker. Not to mention that if we lynch someone else, RotN may still be around tomorrow and we'll face the same problem yet again.
4. Wait until someone else roleclaims or comes up with useful info. We did that, I believe.
5. Just lynch him. One more vote, that's all it takes. We are all released from this morbid, slow-moving, stale day, the game can move on, and we actually have a healthy chance to lynch scum.

Well, Sotty, if he was lurking and not completely inactive, I would definitely be willing to lynch him. Fortunately or unfortunately, he's the latter.

Unvote RotN, Vote: CD

I just checked RotN's posts, and he hasn't made a single post in a full week. I'm thinking we should get a replacement. Even if the replacement will be at a severe disadvantage, it's probably better to be cautious. I wish I'd seen this earlier, before I switched my vote. :P

If we don't like the replacement, we can string him/her up anyway.

I'm pretty sure that unvoting after a majority was achieved doesn't prevent the lynch, but Bacde will be the judge of that.

(Meh, Killing RotN is much easier than replacing or worrying about PMs)

The Day 3 Final Votecount

Voting- 4

RangeroftheNorth- (Alexander, davidangelsummers, Glork, Sotty7)

Not Voting- 3(chaotic_diablo, N_lich, RangeroftheNorth)

With
4
voting majority,
RangeroftheNorth is lynched!

I would consider letting you live Ranger, but it seems that at the time of your vote, no other candidates even existed. Not to mention you've been dreadfully silent and a real bore here at my party. Come with me please, and if you are too asleep to walk with me, I could carry you to the back room too. Nothing will prevent you from your fate now.

Go to sleep, talk amongst yourselves, do whatever you like my guests.
Except plot against each other and myself
. I sure wish that my last request would be honored, but sadly I doubt that. Again, any information I recieve tonight will be revealed in the morning.

My dear fellows, with the rising of the sun I can now officially declare it daytime. I have both good news, and bad tidings to bring with me this glorious morn, however I am ashamed to inform you all that your lynch yesterday was a most tragic endeavour. As it turns out, RangeroftheNorth wasn't trying to kill us. Quite the opposite you see. I guess toast does always land butter-side-down.

You are a Negotiator. If at any time, an anti-town player PMs me saying that they wish to join the town, and mentions your name, that scum will be killed. Better use your powers of pursuasion on this one. You win with the town.
In good news, there was a death tonight! Yes, it is very good news! Glork, the cheating liar that he is, never awoke from his slumber!

You are the Mafia Goon A. You are the second in command of your 3 man mafia. So you pretty much do nothing unless your Godfather dies. If this happens, then you are responsible for both PMing me who you'd like to kill, and actually performing the kill. Be sure not to kill your own mafiates, and try not to have the godfather choose to kill you. You win when all players are dead, except for at least 1 mafia.
Now, about your mafiates, unfortunately, you can't remember who they are. There is no reason to panic however, as all three of you may send one message to each other per night garunteed to reach your allies, by PMing me what you'd like to say to the rest of them. I will transfer the message. Be sure not to reveal too much information, as the lines you are communicating through may be tapped. You'd better find out who your allies are quickly.
Discuss, discover, di-conquer! As a reminder, with

3
votes to lynch!

Rotn wrote:I haven't recieved PMs from anyone else either, but I am guessing that other people are communicating, since discussion in thread has been very low. I don't know if you're scum, but I'll go ahead and tell you my role, because it only does me any good if the scum know it. At any time while I am alive, the scum can send a message to the mod asking to join the town, and mentioning my name. If they do, they will join the town, and I will be notified to that effect. I am having trouble deciding whether I should just come out and say that to the town in general. To me, the role seems broken as it allows a town victory if even 1 scum from each group joins the town, but i've asked bacde and he confirmed it. What do you think? Should I put out an offer of amnesty for all scum, or should I use the power more selectively?
That is the post I received from Rotn on day one. As proof that I didn't make it up, I pmed several others with the exact same wording.

c_d also PM'ed me about it. I was very sceptical about the possibility of the role's existance (as it was stated in the quote above). I guess the actual wording makes a lot more sense :)
