I see Accountant still hasn't answered my questions.

With all that's happened I feel a little foolish, but basically he recognized me for the newb town I am early game, after I made a fool of myself. From there, his posts followed logic, made sense to me. I thought (and still hope) that he acted that way as a true town, and that if he was that dead on about me, that his reads would be more likely to be accurate elsewhere. For good or for ill, I've taken his lead thus far, and if that gets me killed as his false partner, then I've learned more from this game.

Correct me if I'm wrong: You believe Accountant is town because he immediately realize that you're town?

I think any sufficiently skilled player can do that, regardless of alignment.

I bolded above, but basically I wasn't convinced from his read on me, but all of the subsequent posts that were logical helped and I slowly became convinced over time.

Like I said, I feel a little foolish, he is perfectly capable of faking all this, but that is what it is at this point.

Late Wednesday night I started to get the feeling (based on town involvement) that Accountant and I were town on town. I hate Accountants game, and won't vote because I feel Accountant and Huntress is likely town on town also.

Accountant: Are you so tied up in your own game, that you can't see what's happening? Shadow posted that Penguin was his strongest town read. The way he sheeps people that's a huge concern! Penguin voted you while Huntress and I had votes on you. Of course he didn't call L-1. (because were just not doing that this game) I dropped my vote on you so Shadow couldn't derphammer you! Now Penguin has moved his vote back to Huntress.

The more I think about it, the more confident I am. If Accountant was scum, he could have gone along with Huntress and probably gotten my mislynched fairly easily and without suspicion. He didn't. However, Huntress did try to do that.

And remember, if Accountant is town, Huntress is scum. Say it with me, kids -- if Accountant is town, Huntress is scum.

On a serious note, Accountant, I think you are tunneling and it would be great if you could step back and rethink the game. You are saying that if Huntress is town, scum would definitely lynch her and set you up tomorrow. But the converse is just as true - scum could wagon you and take an easy mislynch of Huntress tomorrow if she happens to be town. I don't like the way Penguin and Shadowlancer approached this 1v1.

@Penguin, I'd like to see you talk about your reads more in-depth. You said you "think" it's Huntress and Scarlet but "feel" that it's me and Accountant. What does that mean? You also said that you prefer a Huntress/Scarlet lynch today but then voted Accountant, why?

@Shadowlancer, similar question: you've been strongly townreading Accountant for most of the game save a few small nags and thought that Huntress and Scarlet make the most sense. How did this read change and why are you voting Accountant over Huntress?

I'm not townreading Huntress but if we lynch her, it should be based on her own play, not some silly "game" where we set up the next lynch on the chance she flips town. I suspect Scarlet and Penguin so even if we lynch Huntress and wind up being wrong, I'm not auto-lynching Accountant tomorrow over my actual scumreads. That's dumb.

By the way, Icy is a strong townread based on his reaction to this combat between Accountant and Huntress. Half the players reacted opportunistically but I thought he approached it in the most level-headed way.

I still read accountant as town, but I don't trust my reads at this point. I don't trust anything at this point. And I have to know if I've been strung along this hard. A lynch on Accountant gives me closure, and it puts me at a point where I feel better about the game, because either
A. He comes up town, I feel that much stronger about Huntress.
B. He comes up scum and we are that much closer to winning.
