"i don't think you need xyz to form your opinion" feels like it. idk, maybe condescending is not the right word to use, but it feels like either (1) you're saying i'm lying (2) you're implying you know my thoughts better than i do. and judging by the rest of your play around me it doesn't feel like (1). it's weird.

i disagree about what you said and I wanted to discuss it with you

this was prior to me reading Lili's "tell reasoning"

tonally and by meta I felt her concerns about cakez were more likely from town than scum making some shit up

I would say it’s something of a running joke that I “fooled” him in my scumgames against him, and in the next game he always brings it up and says “lilith I won’t trust you anymore” or something to that effect. He didn’t even attempt to interact with me here and he didn’t bring up the fact that he also messaged me about hydra-ing for this game until like 20 posts ago, way after I started poking at/voting him. I would’ve expected cakes to bring up our most recent game together, in which I was scum and he was town, and which ended not very long ago; I would’ve expected him to enter with immediate paranoia about me — instead he straight up ignored me and ignored my vote until there was basically too large of a wagon on him to ignore. In his responses to me he is solely defensive and doesn’t question my motivations at all. His voting heaven made me vote him because that was the point where I started feeling like it felt “wrong” that he hadn’t expressed any paranoia on me or interacted with me at all.

do you want to hear me say "it's more likely that town!lilith has a legit tell on cakez than scum!lilith bullshitting about having a tell"? because like idk, i guess. it could also be scum!lilith actually having a "tell" that town!cakez happens to be playing into this game. i don't think i can confidently say that the first one is happening, despite sure, i think it's somewhat more likely.

and i didn't want lilith to out the tell just so i can see whether she's telling the truth or not (i suspected she had *something*, regardless her alignment), i mostly wanted to hear the tell so i can judge for myself how likely it is to make cakez scum.

it's believable. i wouldn't be that surprised if cakez flipped red this game. but like, i can't say i scumread cakez when i just don't. i'm reading the posts calling him scum, and logically they make sense, sure whatever he doesn't look great. i don't exactly townread him. but i can't say i scumread him. my heart does not believe.

you were voting him / had him in your solve before the tell was even mentioned, though. why is cakez scum?

At first I thought he was joking or pulling a reaction test, whichever. But the more I read the more it felt like he is serious, and the question now is to figure if it's an "innocent genuine" suspicion or if it's because we know each other well and he wants me out ASAP.

Your own reasoning is fine but mine slightly differs. I don't like what cakez is doing because it's awkward. I said pointless earlier and then his response to that was that he was making a joke. Jokes usually require a bit of knowledge or even a setup but there I think he was just excusing himself. His words come out only at the concern of others and even then I just don't really believe him.
