Was Teleportation Mafia. Two 15 player subgames with teleportation between the two.
It was interesting and I believe the players had fun, but it has one big problem that I still have not figured out how to overcome. Until I can figure out how to resolve that issue, it's not one I'm likely to run again.

Ok, thanks guys. I just wanted to make sure that it was legal before I worked a setup around it.
I guess a further question would be, does it only count as one game? Or does each sub-division count as one?

This won't be for a while (I'm a new member here, but I really like modding) but I plan to do a Large Theme based on Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance or Radiant Dawn. From some avatars I've seen people here like Fire Emblem.

I SUPPORT THIS.
I'd play/help/mod it whenever.

Andrius wrote:Ok, a quick question.
Let's say there's this game with 24 players. Can the 24 players be split into two 12-man groups and run sub-games within the game? (both sub-games influence the larger game.) Is that like, legal?
Is that clear enough?
Hmmm... sounds close to something I might be doing later... but at the same time, not.

Sometime in the far-flung future, I'd like to mod an Ender's Game mafia. Think that would go over well?

I'd say so. I haven't read the books but I know there are quite a few people who have read the books on this site.

quadz are you saying in terms of popularity? because if so, then like Seraphim said, it'd probably be a hit.
but if you're talking about in terms of story/character alignment/mechanics, idk. you'd have you expound a bit.

Let's just say that I accept your pre-/in, and call it square. Mmk?

It'll be a while before I'd get to mod it, but how about "Everyone has 2 votes mafia". Each player has two votes at all times, which can be put either twice on one player or once on each of two players. Majority of total votes required to lynch.

It's not a
bad
idea, but I don't really think it'll have the effects you might think. Imagine it another way: everyone has one vote but can divide their vote in half. Other than some novelty voting that splits it, I think you're mostly going to get people who keep their votes together.

Does help with the Even Number problem though - with 6 players, instead of needing 66% of the votes to get majority (4/6), you'd only need 58% (7/12). And when you've got even suspicion, it helps emphasize the split until you can resolve it later in the Day.
I feel like it's been done before, but I can't think when/what game.

Yeah I would expect most people to keep their votes together, but it could certainly create some interesting situations, especially on the early days, where everyone suspects everyone.

IMO it'd just be a mod nightmare, making things more confuddling (heh) than they already are. That's the reason FoS/HoS/BFMFHoMFS were invented.

I actually think it's a really good idea, jimfinn. It's basic but has something interesting opportunities.

It probably wouldn't run for quite a while, but what would popular opinion be toward
Mafia Science Theater 3000
?
It wouldn't be based on the Mads and the Bots so much as the characters in the awful movies. If you've ever wanted to have the power to rear-project major cities, make helicopters explode by shooting them with a pistol, ride around the countryside with a bat helmet, get nuked and turn into a caveman, or just be named Steve like everyone else; this would be your chance!
For reasons that should probably be obvious this would be a role madness game.

I have some great ideas in my head for a Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World Mafia, based off of both the movie and its source material.
Think I could get 12 players? Or should I squish my hopes and dreams now?
Also, I'd support a FE mafia, although I've only played the two GBA games (and SSB is that counts <__<)

I haven't thought too much about it, and it'll be a while til it happens anyway. I have to mod a game in the mini normal or open queues first haha.
