Again, game time will be on Thursday, April 2nd, starting at 7pm EST and running approximately to 9pm EST. This is part of a trial run that Micc is considering as a new fixture for the Micro Queue.

Micro Queue Announcement:
Starting today I will be accepting /in's for moderators to run queued marathon games in the Micro Queue on a trial basis. These games will work just like the current queue system except that game moderators also specify a start time for their game, usually 3 to 7 days in advance. If enough players sign up to play then the game happens. If there's not enough signups the game moderator can enter the queue again to run the game at a different time.
My expectation for moderators is that they come prepared with a setup that is consistent with the quality of what player have come to expect on our site. Moderating in real time is a challenge, and there will be leeway given for genuine mistakes that happen in real time. There will not be leeway for moderators on things that can be controlled before the game such as running a nonsense setup without giving some kind of warning.
My expectation for players is to show up for games you signed up for. While things do come up and people missing is a thing that will happen, I don't want it to happen regularly, and I definitely don't want to be compelled to put restrictions on players who consistently miss games.
These games will still be limited to 9 players during the trial. Moderators are welcome to have designated replacement slots in addition to the players in their game, and I will track them in the queue. If the demand proves to be there for games with larger player lists I'll look at making an adjustment. Again, these games are being allowed on a trial basis in order to judge interest levels. If there is strong reception, I'll do my best to accommodate these games in the Micro queue on a more permanent basis.

And with that, T-Bone's game has entered signups. I'll be rearranging some stuff in my opening post tonight to track marathon signups.
You're welcome to post questions here if you have them, or contact me by PM.

I assume these are specifically micro marathons?
If so, is there a plan/likelihood that other queues might support marathons if this is popular?

Yes, I'm keeping the 9 player limit for now while this idea is being trialed. Extra interest beyond that can go towards designated replacements.
If demand proves to be strong enough for larger or more games, I think the mod team is open to reconsidering queue structure in order to accommodate that.
