My read on Vax is not necessarily UTR. I think that Vax is not going to be pressured to do anything in this environment. He remains UTR because we've let him be, and as I explained before I find his words to be very self-aware but also condescending in a way. Like how he came in and told us to stop arguing and go somewhere or that he didn't get a chance to player or whatever. He's just going to keep doing that and I wanted to bring attention to it. Pooky is not necessarily associative of Vax but there were just some gut tells I got from his early content that never got solved, and put him down there because since that content he's only tapered off and not really done anything to get better. the first three posts as a sequence i think are ridiculously ++++ town and do not come from scum:
they made a post that looks scummy, and were expecting people to jump on them for it, and acknowledged in an off-handed sort of way when someone else noted that post that they were expecting people to call them out on it
scum don't usually make posts that they think are bad in the first place, and they certainly don't sit there waiting for someone else to call them out on a bad post, and wonder why it didn't happen earlier like that

i also think that they seem super self-aware of what their scumrange is, and that they aren't in it, and that they're being called out as scummy for things they wouldn't do as scum .... i imagine if they were that self-aware they would put a bit more effort into doing something abt it, besides offering meta commentary that everyone here is wrong once in a while

I feel like I should address the elephant-sized missing data point in the room and point out that prior to signing up for this game, I spoke at length with a few folks about how I have a desire to play more "conventionally" in normals/newbies and keep my chaotic self constrained to themes.

The whiplash you're feeling is probably trying to place that and weight is vs. "Is this just scum cabd trying to look for a way to excuse treading new ground instead of his 2020 town game he knows he cannot keep up with" but obviously, you have to answer that for yourself.

I don't think people are just immutable machines that process Mafia like a spreadsheet. People do things that others will deem uncharacteristic, unnatural, what have you. I don't know why you keep presenting AtE as your main argument given that you are producing an emotion by the very means of attacking someone with it called aggression. AtE applies when the intent of using that emotion is to cover up for actions or make convenient excuses, but other than that, it's impossible to remove human emotive traits. Even now I speak with some regard of emotion because you can use emotions to drive your points further. I speak in this way because I want to emphasize something to you and that's what makes Mafia so interesting in the first place, because it's not simply guess-and-check and there are a ton of variables to account for.
