game not active when you are?
Make it active.
You are not a helpless cog in a game to the whims of everyone else, you can shape the tone/speed/message that's being delivered.

In a way, it almost helps town to be worried about the deadline.
Also, it ensures the game ends by a set time and date.

Fakegod didn't like the way that deadlines dragged when deadlines reset, so he removed that mechanic.

but this makes lynching completely inviable in the long term. You can do one or two but doing it every time is really hard to do

They lost because of how they played. That decision in partuclar restricted their options a lot I think.

honestly not killing our pair put them on a clock, as long as I thought AD was town at least.
As long as fire was out of the game though, I was always going to make sure I got to lylo.
i dunno, its pretty risky.

1st and 2nd dances had no resetting deadline.
3rd, I decided to give resetting deadlines a try. The game got unnecessarily long.
So here, I decided to go back to no reset.

Maybe if deadlines pass a certain point and they're actually lynching set it to a certain time
