You shouldn't. Vlad is about everlasting sustain and late game. Build spellvamp, spirit visage and AP and just farm all game.

Just sit back, farm, and hope your team doesn't feed the unbalanced group (Fizz, Akali, Yasuo etc.)

Not neccesarily. If there are team fights going on and others are getting more experiance gold etc. you gonna be underpowered. But farming is good for Sion more than others.

Got that wrong on damage but farming is good gets you health not damage but you can get so much health and tankiness.
