Keep in mind I'm level 17 and have seen Heimer in every lane as every role. It's kind of impossible to /not/ lane against him.

Heimer is a crazy pushing one trick pony, but it's a decent trick.
Heimer will drop his turrets in whatever alignment he chooses and then stand in them. Just think of the turrets as the DO NOT ENTER zone. He will use every bit of psychological warfare he can muster to get you to chase him into the turrets, but if you do, you are dead. He has a decent bit of poke and his combo does good damage, but he's a zero mobility champ which spells death. All Heimer can do is hyperpush, and he does it from relative safety inside his fortress of turrets. They also like to make turret stacks in the baby bush and wait for you. See also: AP Shaco.

People who play Heimer enjoy the "Surprise, motherfucker!" aspect of killing low-awareness people who walk in-between the turrets, but don't have the intestinal fortitude to do it as Tito or the game sense / map vision to do it as Rengar/Shaco/Evelynn. The reason Heimer only works in mid is because if he puts the turrets in the middle of the lane, he's safe (relatively). "Support x champ" is now "viable" so I guess he could go botlane but that sounds counterproductive to both Heimer and his lane partner. I'm sure someone.

Inside the meta, Heimer checks the boxes next to "AP Carry" and "Pusher" with the drawback of "zero mobility", making him vastly outclassed by Pushers who push just as well but have the mobility to escape, roam, and make plays. Ziggs is the big example of this right now. The big issue with Heimer is that so much of his teamfight is centered on his turrets, which lategame are easily killed or the fight simply moves away from them, and then he's just throwing 2 weird skillshots on fairly long cds. You can do better.

tl;dr Don't fight inside the Heimer turrets.
It will get (a little) better once you're 30. I play ap tito in any lane on my smurf. Sorry.

Sry I finally went back to read the thread, and apparently people don't know that rammus amumu and jarvan are the best junglers right now.

You mispelled Evelyn

Amumu is about the same place as he was in S3; excellent teamfight ultimate/presence, but weak jungling early game

I had this awesome game with a diamond player on ez with me on thresh where he consistently used my lantern to reposition himself. Usually, we were killing things, but still I'd throw lantern to move him so he could land his q, he'd actually use it.

Felt so good to have someone actually making plays with the damn thing rather than just having me throw it for them to be like "dahuh" half the time.

tho I guess saving teammates that are
stupid enough to take damage
caught out is p. cool too.

on junglers: I don't feel j4 is all that strong now. Olaf, eve, elise, lee sin, mumu, nautilus come to mind in that order when it comes down to stronk jungling champs.
don't you feel silly now?

Hey I died to a jungler 3 times today, my first 0-2 midlane in a long long time.
I'm so used to being gank-immune at this point I've almost stopped paying attention to junglers altogether. But he didn't kill me with CC, he killed me with damage! This is unheard of, but he appeared behind me and monkeystuffed me at lv 3 and lv 6. I was so caught off guard by the lv 3 kill it threw me into a tailspin, but against all odds we won vs hyperfed Wukong jungle. Invisible EQ hurts midlane SO much at lv 3!

For today's nonsensical question that I pondered for the entirety of a 40 second death timer: When building a TF as your 5th item on Shyvana (thereby only having 2 open slots), do you build the Zeal or the Sheen 2nd?

Also got my first ranked penta of the preseason with Jinx. Screenshots omg omg omg. Oh wait. No.

Runes are hella expensive. :(

working on AD and AP generic pages for now. Should i be saving up for quints or should i just buy runes when I'm able?

I have the pages filled with tier 1 runes, and I'm slowly replacing with tier 3's. AP has MoveSpeed and Lifesteal(Replacing with another MS quint asap), both tier 3 quints and AD has 2 life steal quints, 1 tier 3, 1 tier 3.

After the horrendous games I had played earlier, it was nice to play with you guys and do decently without runes. Thanks a ton :D

the benefits to Thresh do not outweigh what I'd been noticing but I guess Brandi is right - I like being offensive as a support tho so maybe I should switch to Blitz...hmmm

That's because he's always picked in low elo brackets where people don't know how to play around him; this is why he was only picked in two games at the Battle of the Atlantic and only won one of them.

Evelynn / Dr. Mundo / Vi are probably top three junglers right now. Kha'Zix & J4 would be close behind but there's definitely a gap.

I figured you meant the support that swears at his adc and calls him a feeder, that's the type of support I am.

a) mundo is a god in the jungle
b) mundo support with FOTM works well as well. You have very nice peel early with just one point into E you hit like a mac truck, though it's still better to have a carry with some kind of escape
c) mundo top works great too

d) Blitz has a lot of damage even without really building damagey. his ult is fun. No peel at all though except the hook, and that CD is long, and first few levels can be pretty rough if you try a hook or two and miss you're OOM
