I'll claim once shaft.ed does. I'm REALLY not liking his last few posts and would at this point hammer if there wasn't a claim that needed to be made.

One of these is scum.

Here's my quandry. I would think we have more than one power role. Lovers can be useful, but are a huge detriment when killed. Inventor is VERY useful. The presence of Lovers is probably why we only have one scum.

That said, if kab is lying this would be pretty imbalanced in favor of the scum. If shaft.ed is townie, kab can win this for us.

Gorrad, where do you get Inventor from? I'm a Jack of all trades, not an inventor. However, good choice in the vote.

I didn't think I would get my revenge on shaft.ed for House mafia so soon.

I'll reserve my full comments on the setup and so on until after BM officially ends things, because I have quite a few issues with the balance of this game. Even with the lovers, one scum against six town with a jack is really unbalanced in town's favour.

Thus, good game shaft.ed. This wasn't a game that I think you could have won without some truly exceptional luck.

They weren't to be disappointed. Shaft.ed had indeed had a part to play in the sinister Uprising, but now required a little more than a check-up from the neck-up...

What an exciting night! Filled with tough choices, changes of heart, and general uncertainty.

Kabenon knew he had been wrong about there being 1 lone scumbag, and he also knew he had 1 shot to nail the other 1. His first decision was to shoot Gorrad, but then he had a change of heart and headed over to Vollkan's instead. Then on his way over there, he changed his mind again, and went back to his original plan. But whilst over at Gorrad's, and while taking aim, he decided the decision was just too difficult, and it would be better to take out Vollkan-if he survived, he could put it on his mafia CV!

At Vollkan's house, he took aim at the window, and saw quite clearly that Vollkan was not just an ordinary bullet-proof townie. He was gunning for Kabenon!

Both shot at each other simultaneously, drenching the area in blood and kidneys.





Gorrad got up, pleasantly surprised not to be tied to his bed this time. He was also happy to see that everyone in his village was dead, and hence, the Uprising was over.

Well first off, great game guys. You were all an absolute pleasure to Mod for-in fact, i think this is the only game i've ever modded where every single player met my expectations on participation and conduct. You are all welcome in subsequent games i run.

I'm still not quite sure how the town managed to claw this game back. In case you hadn't realised, the reason the game didnt end at 4 players, was because the mafia win condition was to achieve a MAJORITY. Theoretically they were unbeatable at that point, but it was conceivable that Kabenon could secure a draw, by NKing Vollkan/Shaft.ed on the first night, and allowing Gorrad to be the victim of the mafia, then on the second night, roleblocking the remaining player (due to being unable to use the same ability twice in a row) and finally on the third night, killing him off and dying, meaning everybody dies.

All Shaft.ed and Vollkan had to do was vote No-Lynch after Kab claimed, and NK him. In fact, i was horrified when i saw Vollkan vote for his partner. But he has later clarified that he was concerned that Gorrad might have had a power role too, and that this could complicate things.

Even at the end it was touch and go. The flavour scene literally tells how my convo with Kab went. Of course, with Shaft.ed coming up Mafia, the RB on Gorrad was pretty meaningless and i think luck played its part. Even so, the fact you two managed to pull off a totally insurmountable victory is a real credit to you.

Vollkan why oh why did you ever vote me? I guess you're right this does make up for house mafia I will say it was my fault for playing so horridly at the end. I really pushed on Kab way too hard to vote for a No Lynch. That was my fault. Lurking until vollkan got back would have been a better option.

I was hoping my little performance at the end would make Gorrad look a bit like a SK that got blocked. I really didn't know how else to move Kab's target away from vollkan. But it seemed quite obvious to me that if Kab thought there were two mafia in the game, there was no way on Earth that Gorrad would hammer.

Phew... I literally sent in the stupid night choice four different times. At first I thought it was a Gorrad as an SK that I successfully roleblocked the first time around, so I was like, makes sense. Then I thought, what if vollkan and shaft.ed were scum together, and that clicked, because I could totally see vollkan voting for his partner. So I sent in that choice. But then I saw that all vollkan had to do if he was shaft.ed's partner was vote no lynch and then the game would have been over, but that was, unbeknownst to me at the time, based on the knowledge that Gorrad was an innocent. I also think it was pure luck our plan worked, because I truly did think there was only one scum from the very beginning... oops. A good game all around however... you two had me deliberating for days.

That scum would need a majority to win was totally unexpected for me, I didn't even think it was possible.

That there was only one scum was completely impossible for balance reasons, so I thought till the end that it was one scum + 1 SK...

Well, until vollkan's post 284 in fact. In that post, he said he thought town had won, which was clearly very improbable, for balance reasons. For me, he gave himself away in that post, and the vollkan+shaft.ed duo then made a lot of sense... except that they would have won night 1 :/

I really thought core rule alterations (majority win for scum) would be given in the main post. My newb rating just went down

in almost all games, scum need a majority to win. Of course, in MOST games, when the scum makes up 50% of the town, a majority is inevitable. In this game, it wasn't.

Gorrad was not scum? That really surprised me, but it was still a townie win, so I can't complain. Actually, my play was quite bad this game.

Gorrad was unclaimed. I had no idea what role Gorrad had and, given the immense burden of the lovers for town, that worried me. I was not about to out myself as scum until Gorrad had claimed...but he only claimed in his hammering post.

Yes but why not expressing your heavy suspicions of shaft.ed's scumminess but requesting everyone's claim before you cast your vote, just because in lylo, individual votes are so important that you would not cast yours lwith incomplete information ?

That is because I rightfully didn't trust you a lick since you posted that list.

On the list, I was serious about everything I said about it not being pro-scum. I had actually intended to trial my list regardless of alignment.

The thing is, it is not pro-town or pro-scum for me to post that list. It's just pro-vollkan. It lets me cut out play which I can't deal with, no matter what my alignment.
