I thought we talked about the main post where you thought Nash was town and you agreed with me? Are you still townreading him for that post specifically, or are there other things you're townreading him for?

As an aside I agree with the whole forming townreads D1 thing. But lately I have been putting myself into shit positions on later days by giving out townreads with too low of a threshhold because it's hard for me to psychologically backtrack against an earlier townread I made. Then I just confuse myself on D2/D3 because I've townread everyone still alive to some degree

Not sure I completely understood here, I just want to clarify your stance on whether or not activity/engagement is a towntell for NS because he seems to think it is

It was my biggest tell pre-hiatus. People used to say I’d sort myself by d2/d3.

I did a good job replicating engagement before I became conf scum in smugglers Port but at that point I didn’t want to give away free info so stopped posting

@iv, I think he's generally town but you are right about like...not replying on a gut feel for long. I generally town hunt early tho, and I did say he's town enough for me for day 1.
@the bulge, I don't know what 'you don't think this could be from a lack of reciprocity?'' means? Do you mean she got bored coz the game was quiet? That she didn't like being scum read so got less engaged? Or ..something else?

NS im gonna be honest that was the game I skimmed where I started to get slightly paranoid of you because i didn't see the lack of engagement really that you were talking about

pedit: Bella "town enough for d1" are you suggesting you kind of townread in an iterative process every single day, simply PoEing and hunting for a d1 elim, then rinse and repeat for d2 with a stricter town threshhold? I think what you're describing is different from just "townhunting early" because I do that too, I think a lot of people do that

I’d suggest pre-hiatus games but I really don’t remember much other than specific moments of certain ones.

Not quite, iv, that sounds a bit too clever for me... although I think everyone does reasses as info changes. I'm just saying day one is low info, so yeah, my threshold is lower. Also, day one elims do seem almost random at the moment, so having a group of people that shouldn't be in helps a bit?

I mean her only townread was on a consensus town who says is experienced enough to act the same way as either alignment, because of activity.
Tin foil hat theory - scum!Clarity found it hard to engage with the thread, so activity was a towntell for a fakeread off the top of her head.

The slot needs more pressure.

ns knows I don't do well with long posts or pressure. his halfway-approach to making sure I am putting out content seems like he's asking what he wants and moving on, rather than constantly applying pressure. this is the genuineness I was talking about. I think if this were an intentional push on a miselim he'd be calling out for more of my bullshit :)

Third one. I think it's clear enough he is aware of his own meta (or at the absolute very least, presents as such) so pure amount of activity means very little to me

I think it's possible she could have seen the state of the game and adjusted her play—consciously or not—to fit in more to the site meta. this is a newbie game, i don't think this is outside of the realm of possibility. I just don't think we should be relying on inconsistent playstyle tells in a game with the expressed purpose of improving one's play or integrating into the site.

it's kind of too early maybe I will do some more research later, but I'm just noting here that there's some paranoia here because I'm not used to following Nash's thought process so well, agreeing with what he says. I usually kind of have trouble with where he's going

can't go into it completely

I have to say that Nash's points do make good sense on clarity.
Though I would like to see some more from clarity and Andres.
@ Ouroel
What changed in your mind from to and ?
Why is town now dumb from who you think is town then all town feel scummy?

I just want to add here that:
-Knowing that activity/engagement is a general towntell and thing you lack is one thing. ACTUALLY fixing it and ACTUALLY generating content quickly, coherently, and genuinely engaging based on that self-reflection knowledge is hard; harder for some than others. Like I know this is one thing that my scumgame lacks a lot (I also just suck at scum), but it doesn't mean that scum!me can just deliver the same confidence and "say whatever's on my mind" verbiage as town!me.
-So this is why I was curious of this and I don't think it's a bad question. If NS is sick enough to be aware of this meta AND bridge it effectively then that tells me a lot, and it also tells me a lot if he's like me and can't. Obviously Clarity hasn't flipped yet but let's just say she flipped scum; I think Nash's "theory" about scum!Clarity knowing about this activity/engagement towntell but actually finding it very difficult to genuinely interact shows parallels to what we're talking about.

But Clarity is a newbie, and I am an experienced but poor player (especially scum). And I assume you are giving him his deserved credit and saying he is capable of ramping up the activity.

Yeah, I am not made for long games at all. I mean I'll try to pick up my activity... Maybe it'd be easier if people directed questions and things towards me? I'd probably be fine with direct responses, at least until I get back into the flow.

Town: Oureol, for reasons explained earlier - seems too open to be scum imo

Getting town vibes from IV and maybe Nash too for helping the game pick up as soon as they subbed in

then there's just kind of a muddly mess of somewhat townish people

I guess if I had to pick scum, I'd probably say Andres? Pretty much everyone else has done something that I can point to and say 'that looks towny'.
