It seems odd that your mind went straight to defending yourself as a scum buddy rather than something else here.In post 229, Tetrina wrote:No, I just responded to what I wanted to. I think she's town, I mean Resistance, or both her and ydrasse are scumsIcould be scum with her? Also a lot went over my head tbh but I'll get the hang of it
That very well could be, but my lone data point is that I associated the two almost instantly. In post 277, Infinity 324 wrote:@galron it would be an odd way to give that information to the town in a flavor post at the beginning of the game. i don't think tweet would write flavor to be scrutinized for in-game clues like that, i think it's much more likely that she used a fun word for flavor purposes.
sigh, ok why
this post wasn't hitting right when i first read it but, so far infinity is speaking through her thoughts in a way i associate with her normal towngameIn post 182, Infinity 324 wrote:I'm half joking. I do think that post is town-indicative for ydrasse because I think she'd be really happy to roll town and I don't think her first thought after she rolls scum is to think "I need to fake being happy I rolled town"
PEdit: I lightly townread gamma because scum!him has been very scummy even early on in the past. Although, I think he can be a decent scum player so that's why it's a weak read. I'm relatively confident I can read him correctly as the game goes on
infinity if you want to just answer this bit, i'm not sure the rest of it is really going to go anywhereIn post 276, skitter30 wrote:and ok, sure. why do you think i would be townreading you here as town? what parts of your play ought i recognize as town-you?

Why didn’t you like my vote

What else should I comment on then?
id be interested if you have any reads yet, any opinions on the game mechanics, etc
to me the whole thought process of "i didn't know there was scum in the NPCs" is very level 0 towny and i guess i'm not sure at this point whether you just don't see that or you're brushing it aside because it doesn't fit your narrative. to be fair, the way you're treating this argument indicates that you don't see that post as surface level towny no matter your alignment, which is honestly pretty baffling to me. i thought that it was pretty obviously not the first thing that scum would think of when trying to get into a town mindset. if i'm pushing someone early on and they come up with an explanation like that, i take a step back and ask myself if i really want to be pushing there. not that you had to come up with the conclusion that she's town, but i felt like it should've at least been a thought in your mind.In post 276, skitter30 wrote:your'e saying that town *could* have those thought processes, and i agree. what i'm saying is that of the two alignments, i think these thoguhts are *more likely* to come from scum than town. you're kinda sidestepping that point by saying that i ought to recognize it *could* come from town - i do, but i don't understand why it comes from town *more often* than it comes from scum, which si the bit i need to negate the reasons i'm scumreading her for this whole thing.
Does a scum!Skitter spend this much effort trying to build a case on town on day 1 of a phase when it's likely any wagon there is likely to break up?
ydrasse you were in perpetual melo? i used this exact argument to townread her there and she was scum.In post 286, Ydrasse wrote:for skitter i don't think she would have this wim as scum after getting it and getting kicked around like a soccer ball a few times over
this is a good point, although my gut leans towards tetrina as scum here. but maybe that's just cause my brain is trying to do preflip associatives with skitt. In post 293, Galron wrote:Tetrina gets a Yikes, an Alarmed, and a Ridiculous. Seems hyperbolic.

I was surprised they were actual people rather than mod-controlled anonymous messages. I just sort of read them and didnt think that much of them except that it was interesting that one was named Locke when we have Rousseau in the game. I thought the font thing tweetie did to show the static was cool, and after I saw the pronouns listed I scrolled back up to try to commit the pronouns to the avatars/usernames.In post 260, skitter30 wrote:eh ok, i guess that could make some amount of sense and is semi-plausible. and that's what you were thinking the first time you read the messages? In post 246, ssbm_Kyouko wrote:Because I didnt read the setup correctly and thought the 1 caller that knows the identity of scum was not known by scum, like a traitor. I feel like in that situation the caller would want to signal scum so I wanted to look for that signal.
