ngl i am very annoyed about the fact that players like enchant can make two angry posts and everyone is like "yeah wow locktown" but it is what it is

it's ok, it's balanced out by the fact that I can make two dozen logically sound posts explaining exactly what I was doing and why it wouldn't make sense to do as scum and have it not move the needle for anyone at all.

People under heavy pressure who start posting "logically" read scummy. I agree with implo that you probably should have voted Looker in that scenario. Fire has the potential to come around, but is stubborn and needs to arrive at the idea themselves.

I somewhat agree but from experience, scum!S_S under pressure, starts cherrypicking. I remember that he did that last time in Holiday Dance Party.

I think fire saying Looker looked unpaired with Datisi is a good example of putting too much weight on associatives in situations where they shouldn't matter and individual play ought to be weighted more strongly. Someone who just replaced in is going to have really unpredictable associative behavior. And as for predecessors I think the fact that it was Datisi who was clearly trying to actively obscure associatives one way or the other with the on-wagon stuff, just means you have to defocus your eyes a bit when thinking about associatives. You have to take anything that was said by flipped scum that clearly had, as part of its purpose, to fuck with associatives, with a big grain of salt.

Exactly this. I was contemplating claiming D5 or D6. If I claimed D5 and scum counterclaimed then it would be over. If they don't counterclaim, then I can lead D6 (if there was a D6). Since Enchant basically TRs me, I can push for a Looker elim (since it was either Fire [good player/very townie] or me [mason claim]).

Also in the off chance I get NK'd (plus me basically a VT for being the lone Mason), I didn't want Town not to have Mason's sentiments known.

I am, hm, kind of surprised that hut came in and basically blew off implo's strongest scumread they seemed to agree on pushing the night before.

*shrug* in 3p, anything can happen. I've seen a literal innocent child get voted in 3p ELO before.

I had to think long about this too. As Gamma implied in a previous post here, I was basically just following Implo's lead. So it pains me to not follow his strongest SR. I based my decision on the ff though:
- SS is in our POE. Though Looker is the strongest SR, SS would be fine too.
- Fire is our strongest TR. Fire's statements always makes sense (at least for me), so I had to take his takes into consideration. Since SS was the common slot to elim for Fire,me and Implo, then SS was an ok elim.
- SS didn't seem townie to me. He actually gave off Scumtisi vibes (trying hard to look town but actually scum). He lurked a lot then suddenly came alive in the end.

I've learned a lot from this game - VCA, read progressions, Mason play, Mason shielding, scum bussing, associative analysis just to name a few... Thanks a lot!!

@Dats, I had a spreadsheet too with the votes, notes and all but stopped at D2 as it was making my head hurt lol!
