TBH I would say that there has been times when games had no replacements for the entire game but this is the first time that I've seen a game have no post cap and still do so well.
I think that it might be due to the exceptional moderation quality.

It's only in rare games when the moderator wants a post cap. I've seen a few, but it's rare.

There was a large theme recently called Mafia Invictus Redux that had a cap of like 100 or 125 posts per person per day phase or something, and you had some emergency ones banked. If you exceeded your limit, you could post a naked vote with no other context. I only read a tiny bit of the game, so I don't know how it worked out, but it didn't drag on for anywhere close to 10,000+ posts or 3 months, so I guess it was a win. Seemed like a good game from what little of it I read.
