I've played with third parties that were basically honorary town or town+.
This reporter claim isn't one of those though. They're straight up mercenary by design.

It depends if the pool is good or whether they choose town in that pool
and then there's whether they're actually a power role or not.
Plus that player could easily die/be killed wasting that ability.

It's a lot of ifs. It depends what oil says
I do however think that we should always be eliminating scum over 3p.
The question is just whether we're going to eliminate scum or town accidentally and in that case I would rather eliminate 3.
It's an order priority.

There is no target. All roles that can be enhanced, are.

If the claim is truthful enhancing everything is a bigger boost for town than scum

I want to hear from Cookie and Nerocain.

Then we can place Flea into the arena and I'll say a few words befores before that gets hammered and they end up in the arena.

Why are we placing flea in the arena?

Sb and Finral are hard pushing there and I don't have enough information on Flea to argue it.
There role kinda sounds like it would be a role scum would get.

If they're losing the engagement in the arena they can blow up before the town can push them out.

Is this another role that kills themself and ends the day?

Why do we have two of those and then also a universal backup in the same game? Like that's asking for trouble

It sounds like a variation in which they can speed up and cause a double elimination during the elimination phase.
Probably better to hear it from flea.

In regards to balance, don't ask me.
I'm a dog.

a double elimination doesn't help us, we're on odds right now

I think it helps us if flea is scum to have them blow themselves up and take a 3p in the process than to blow themselves up with a town in there.
Or be outside an arena and be able to kill both town players in there if that becomes a thing later.

It's presuming flea is scum tho. Which they might not be.
I have a semi solution. Maybe to that particular conundrum.

I'm just worried about pulling one of those plays that seems smart but is actually idiotic.

if they're scum they can be lying about how their role works

if they're town we're better off eliminating the other person instead of going 2 for 1

....I think my reasoning is solid and just want Cookie and Nerocain to comment now.

Just saying I'm not willing to use my ability against a 3rd party.

The "double elimination" is me removing myself from the game. I activate it at night and I no longer exist as far as the game is concerned. I leave the time stream.

We vote scum into the arena, oil lives and activates the positive ability tonight, if all abilities are enhanced, we'll know about it.
Then frankly Oil becomes arena bait if we can't decide who is scum to send into the arena.

So monopoly man is 3p and has conveniently only got good things left for town.

Flea can just bounce. No utility to town at all as far as I can tell.

Bell watchu wanna know?

Surprise Surprise, Flea backs away from using the ability after Oil makes a claim to ease themselves out of suspicion

Anyone else think Bell's playing the "i don't know better than anyone, don't trust me" card too much?

The more i think about it, the less a like Bell and Flea's willingness to keep Oil alive, or anyone advocating for giving them a second chance for that matter! They are a 3rd party that have acted anti-town.

The whole strat about letting them use their powers to prove themselves is flawed.

1)We don't know what “enhancing” entails (does it duplicate the targets, does it give more shots etc) and we don't know what powers do scum have, being ok with enhancing everyone's powers when the wolves could have extra killing powers besides the factional is a bad idea.
2) They can say they used it when they didnt, hinting a possible roleblock or jailkeep that we can't prove.
3) There is no way to prove that's all the abilities they got that could affect town.

Other reasons to not keep them alive

1) They roleblocked the entire player list after Mastina got confirmed town.
2) They tried to a frame player for it which is scummy as hell.

Finral makes a good point about Flea backing down on using their power when it's Oil on the line.

VOTE: Flea what if Oil are not 3p but scum? Which in opinion are essentially the same thing.

Nono, this isn't based on them proving themselves.

It's just based on what would benefit town the most.
