Bad play is bad play, but this feels like a bad townie play to me.

Profii hasn't really been on my radar honestly. His posts have felt mostly townie to me. I don't think scum would defend Garmr here.

But what was the risk, really? Who was going to catch scum!Garmr out? The doc was the only one, and that would be assuming that the doc exists and did not actually protect Carca. And generally trading a scum for the doc is not that bad a trade. Scum!Garmr just got really unlucky when Carca claimed ascetic on D2. Most might have thought that she would have at least hinted at it, if not outright claimed on D1. Plus he's still relying on the fall back position of cRaZy town, and so getting caught out seems like it was no risk at all.

So garmr potentially lied about this supposed doc voyeur result

It seems unusual to me that no one has jumped on it and said "omg lynch all liars" which usually happens

I agree with you that sacrificing a scum for finding the doc is probably worthy for scum but we either have no doc or a smart doc who stayed quiet in this scenario

I suppose in this instance the claim is designed to appear like a mason saving move so it takes away the scrutiny but also potentially lure out a doc

So sure it can be scum but wed have to also believe that Garmr, who likes a fun claim managed to roll the scum goon or least useful scum PR which would be too coincidental for me to go with it - there is a higher probability that garmr could coach someone into this claim I think.

So I think it was genuine attempt to mason save that backfires a bit... the risk if you are scum is people are going to constantly throw shade at you the longer you live because you wont be considered trustworthy which will harm your long term plans I guess
