Mechanically I don't believe scum have a role that screws them. And the games from Gypyx have no evidence to show that this is a thing he does from previous games.

In this case, the enabler actually makes the role stronger. Before, the babysitter was effectively a visitor with a kill if the babysitter died. When the enabler dies, the role becomes an ungated vigilante. If the enabler was scum, this would make the setup extremely swingy as now if the enabler dies, the mafia are not only down a player but also unleashed a vigilante onto the game.

Okay so {VFP, Anya, Rathe} are like almost always Town here. I want to sheep them. And I do think Kyouko is likely Town after re-reading some of D1 - they were dangled as an alternative there to Scum a lot.

Why would scum target a neighbor claim if they believed it? Anya didn't claim she was lying about being a neighbor until d2, yet she was allegedly blocked n1. I doubt anything blockish exists but the jailkeeper.

Neighbors don't have actions, so blocking there makes no sense.

So for anya's claim to be true, scum likely knew the neighbors to be fake, thus ssbm scum.

If anya's claim isn't true, then she's scum.

They could be scum together but that's not necessarily true from my analysis.
