Well your predecessor replaced out, you don't seem to be around at the times I'm around. There's 14 people in the game, so I don't usually get to engage with everybody as much as I'd like to as soon as I'd like to.

So you're stating you get your reads based off real time interactions so basically I got screwed by work and life timings. This is a bit more palatable.

I'd say 1/4th of my reads come from real time interactions.

I think if you read caster's play from start to finish and have confidence that you can eventually read a player correctly with enough time and effort you'll eventually come to the conclusion he's town. Though it might take a few weeks to come to that conclusion. He's not a troll, he's just witty and sarcastic. Maybe just sarcastic. He never used that attitude to cut people down or move the town in a negative direction. I rarely saw him do anything truly anti-town or against town's interest. His stated night actions and when he did them make sense for town, but make little sense for scum to announce. There's a lot to unpack if you truly read his play from start to finish. But his thinking doesn't really make sense for scum. Likewise his early reads were off kilter and while players that do that tend to get eliminated early, they're less likely than usual to flip scum.

From a scum team dynamic I realize that all the leading wagons on the master phase were on town.
The scum team chose to either curry favor (tried and failed to gain momentum as an early wagon that died out), or didn't think the exchange of one of their own was worth it.

You can also see that in how he pressured Moon cancer to claim.
How did you reconcile those insults/that natural interaction with Cancer as scum bussing scum?

That question is an interesting one to think about.

(The obvious answer is that he's not thinking about that because neither of us is flipping scum, so he never has to reconcile the two scum reads.)

Ruler 3 showing up, saying nothing relevant, and then immediately flaking puts that slot in a bad light. Granted, that think was partly why I fell into the trap of voting Shielder. Also granted, the circumstances and content from those slots is vastly different. I wouldn't really favor a swap there right now simply because hitting a basically empty slot tells us virtually nothing regardless of the outcome. I also don't want to repeat the mistake of yesterday but by quickburning before here's a replacement so that the night phase gets extended, especially seeing as my survival isn't guaranteed. So I'd like to let the day play out and have people continue to talk while we wait for a replacement.

But, the thread is feeling a bit stale and I'm liable to go stir crazy waiting. I need something to do. Might go back and review people again. If the replacement search takes time I might have to get really fancy to keep my mind busy.

i mildly liked some of lancer's stuff today so they occupy roughly the same place in my head right now. i can probably do a whole reading thing although i might just do lancer if we are probably getting rid of saber today regardless.

i think i mildly liked rider early but they are kind of a toneless player. they havent given me any reason to dislike them, and i do have a soft spot for people who are nice to me. i could see myself rethinking them if i were going to be alive for a long time (but i am not)

i guess it's possible i'll live a while

idk im probably just going to claim tomorrow and then we can decide what to do about it.

I've got this weird feeling about Ruler 2.0's postings to me. They indicated strongly that they thought they knew my identity (whether they actually did or not is unknowable and not as interesting as how they acted on thinking they knew me), coupled with probably the most interactions/mentions of any player in the game at that point. It's definitely not out of the question that I'm recognizable in this game depending on join dates. Ruler 2.0 used it as a reach-out, and maybe even expected me to recognize them as well. (I didn't, but I also didn't try very hard). Trying to filter that as more or less likely coming from town vs scum is the difficult part. I just know what I'd want to do as scum in an anon game, which is obfuscate my style and phrasing a lot harder than I've done here and keep my yap firmly shut about playstyle stuff that might lead players to my identity.

You don't need to do anything about it today, worry about it tomorrow if it's necessary, and you certainly don't need to prove yourself to Saber

If my question to Saber bothers you about where my read of you is, it shouldn't.

Wouldn't worry too much about getting eliminated Caster. If you read the gamestate, you're pretty cozy. Just focus on finding scum in your own time.

I'm just talking to saber and I dont really know why! I'm not actually worried. I do feel bad that I'm not contributing tho.

I kind of agree with them. I'm more of a go with the flow player and i hardly get an impression from you. Most of my thoughts on you are about other players talking about you rather than you actually talking.
