Yeah, probably we need to rebuild the search index.
Also, I think I just lost some posts in a GD topic split.
That was a weird bug (hit the split button, it only split one page's worth of posts, so went Back and split again, only got the second set of posts and the first seem to have disappeared). Note to self: Don't do that again...

*shrug* Their way emphasizes efficiency. JEEP's way was more specific to how we operate. Most boards probably don't have 'prod' PMs to groups of people...

Yeah it doesn't really seem like it'd be useful to split up one message into 12 different messages. At least, normally. So I agree with how they've programmed it.
But yeah, it'd be nice to have JEEP back to make us all pastries and cookies whenever our heart desires.

Why isn't Flay an admin? He does a bunch of that important stuff, yet he isn't a admin. Never understood this.

That's a rather personal question.

Sorry. Didn't know it was a personal thing. Sorry again, Didn't mean to bring something up that he doesn't want brought up, didn't mean to pry.

He basically is an admin, he just doesn't have the red text that mith does. That's just meant to denote site ownership, mostly.

by Me=Weird
FAIL. He is an admin, he just doesn't have it as his primary usergroup. When you look at his profile, it says global moderators by "Groups". That means global mods is his primary usergroup. Same with MeMe. Only mith (and jeep, but he left) have it as their primary one.

Yeah, I have the admin privs, but only so I can help mith out. I set my usergroup to something else to avoid any confusion about who was in charge.

Nothing new to report yet.
However, Kison came up with what appears to be good "scumday" code, so if you start seeing scumday cakes, let me know (and thank him).

Rock!
It's in the wrong place, but that's fixable!
Thanks for hunting that down...

Fixed all of these, and some you didn't have access to. If anything broke/got weird as a result, let me know.

Is it just me, or is a post's text blacker (darker, if you will) the first time you see it after you've posted? If not, my eyes are playing serious tricks on me.
Also, when you're in iso, and click to go back to the entire thread, the post you clicked from is darker.
Please tell me I'm not the only one seeing this.

No, somebody else has mentioned that first part as well. I haven't confirmed it in the code itself, but I think it's accurate.
Not sure about the second - is it just flipping from bg1 to bg2 (see Vi's post above you)?

Not sure what you mean by bg 1 and bg2 -- but my second question involves seeing a thread with one player in iso (nothing to do with a reply page) and then clicking an iso post's post# link to go to the post in context. After clicking, the post you clicked form is darker text. I know that's not clear, but it's the best I can get right now.

Hrm. Preliminary testing with Color Picker shows the text (in Sepia) as #000000 and the background of your last post as #E8DDC7, which corresponds to the CSS class bg1 (bg2 is my posts before and after yours, #E2D3B7). When I view you in ISO, the colors show up the same, though that's not done with an unread post.
Try and get a screenshot, or use Color Picker or Firebug to catch the difference, if you use Firefox? It may not be anything worth 'fixing' (if it is happening, it's probably a feature to highlight the latest post, I'm guessing), but it'll let you know you're not crazy.

Well, I'm not quite sure how I've never heard of Firebug, but. Now life will be easier. (I see what you mean by bg1 and bg2, now.)
Can't see a difference in darkened text in the HTML or CSS; I don't have a color-picker (yet; I really should), I'll let you know if I find anything.

Finding Firebug is like seeing the light for the first time.

So when you view a user's profile, there's a section down in the corner that says:
phpbb3 wrote:Total posts: 7029 |
(1.09% of all posts / 2.99 posts per day)
I've discovered you can also make a link there that will take you to all of their posts in 'topic view' instead. My problem is how to word it without making that line too long...
phpbb3 wrote:Total posts: 7029 |
(1.09% of all posts / 2.99 posts per day)
wraps the line on smaller browser windows.
phpbb3 wrote:Total posts: 7029 |
(1.09% of all posts / 2.99 posts per day)
is a little better.
phpbb3 wrote:Total posts: 7029 |
(1.09% of site, 2.99 posts/day)
is my favorite so far, but maybe someone else has a better idea?

If you add total topics (not sure how easy that might be):
Code: Select all
Total Posts: 7029 (1.09% of all posts / 2.99 posts per day)
Total Topics: 13
In that I mean only topics started by you (since moving).
Meh, other options:
Code: Select all
Total Posts: 7029 posts in 605 topics
(1.09% of all posts / 2.99 posts per day)

Battousai wrote:What about viewing first post on every page? I know it is low priority, but I'm hoping you could get to it soon. It's pretty helpful, especially when mods include their last post count in the OP.
I'd like to second this one.
I know I haven't been reading through all of the threads regularly, but I was wondering when Jeep left.
