Mini 309, Mordor Mafia--Game over!
Forum rules
We were scared of the doc protecting Norinel, and we thought we could get MoS lynched the easiest, with Stikey as a possible second. One of us felt Lloyd would figure out we were the mafia, and we thought he had a power role of some sort possibly. The last night, we thought we would win if we killed successfully, so we went for starkmoon, who we felt had the least chance of being protected. That was why we killed who we did.
I thought about protecting someone other than Norinel during the second night (not including Night 0/1) since I figured we would have lost in the morning unless I protected someone successfully (didn't factor in the vig). But there's almost no way I would have protected Starkmoon <shrug>

I didn't kill last night b/c I didn't have enough of a read on anyone to make sure of my target. I didn't want to miss the scum and then lose the game b/c of it. I do have to say that lynching me while I was out of town for 2 days was pretty frickin' lame, no matter the alignment of those doing the voting.

A bit of modding advice here- it's best if you decide on any unusual/special/roleplaying interactions before the game begins, so you can take the possibilities into account for balance. Unless Vyolynce would've blocked anybody he killed, I'd've interpreted blocker blocks SK who kills blocker as the blocker surviving.TheEyeOfMordor wrote:Twomz blocks Vyolynce(for roleplaying reasons I killed Twomz, I don´t see how a jailer could survive)
It would've been the correct move to do so, yes. (Unless he was hoping for a successful doc protection, but that'd be unlikely since the doc would almost certainly protect me and the scum would almost certainly avoid me)TheEyeOfMordor wrote:3.MoS not vigkilling on Night 3
This created an easy scum victory on the following day. I would have thought that you always vigkill in LoL but I don´t know all that much about Mafia.
That was a fun game. Thanks TheEyeOfMordor for modding. I thought you did a great job letting us just get on with it but always there to provide a vote count when needed.
I think we as mafia had a lot of luck, what with Norinel's investigation choices and Masterchief playing.
I was convinced Norinel actually had a guilty on one of us on the last day and was playing it clever in order to deduce alignment.
I think we should have been given a much harder time at the end though. When I put MoS on lynch-1 either Norinel or Stikey should have wondered why it sat there for for a whole day and unvoted as it was just too risky for them. Especially as Stikey was getting suspicious of me. That was a tense day waiting for Spamwise to come back online and vote.
Thanks for the game everyone. 8)

Good game. Interesting and fun. The game still kept my interest going despite that fact that I never return to see the end result of a game that I've been lynched/killed.
Overall, I say the mod did a pretty good job.
Okay, I'm done.

Yeah, I thought there were three also, but I figured on Day 3 that we were still in the game because there were only two scum.
MoS: You were out of town? Did you post to that effect in the game? If so, that's definitely my bad!

I was certain someone would come after me heavily when I backed down from chaotic_diablo.
Masterchief was an absolute gift to us, but I did honestly think that my vote was only the fourth. I don't place the hammah often, but I did so twice in this game.
MoS: I didn't know you were out of town either. But if you were scum and had the chance to win the game, would you seize it?

How do people think the 3 on 3 endgame would of gone had it happened(MoS claims, stikey claims as well, but of course he would claim selfprotecting).
If scum mishit, they lose. If they take out vig or doc they win.
Who do you think has the better chances then?
And what is your opinion about my choice to let people create their own flavourbased names?
Some people didn´t make one, one perosn asked me to make his and some people made their own(In Norinels case Barghúl the

Horrible
was almost a perfect name with all his mishits, he would have made a perfect doc though.)In the name of Mark Lazarus....
Scum would have taken me out. Self-protecting doc is a rare role, and is substantially overpowered that it probably would have been worth the risk to try to night-kill anyone who claimed it on the theory that they were just making the self-protection part up.
The idea of creating a name is nice, but doesn't affect the game mechanics at all.

Would you let timestamp play a role here? Like if my PM came in first, I kill Twomz without him being able to jail me, but if his came in first then I get blocked?Norinel wrote:A bit of modding advice here- it's best if you decide on any unusual/special/roleplaying interactions before the game begins, so you can take the possibilities into account for balance. Of all the random Night 0 (1) results, this one had some low odds. I know I picked Twomz via random.org, which is what I usually do for any night choice I might have in that situation (of course, I've yet to have a vig role).

Well I can see that the mafia winning was mostly my fault. I can't believe I just jumped in and voted like that. Ah well, i won't make that mistake again. Good game.
