And to those of you who are so "intelligent", i.e. Gurgi, Porochaz, Darox, & Co.: Please actually do the work of playing the game. Making a case. Setting an example. Being the change you want to see. It's not really that hard.

How the heck are players supposed to learn to play the game right, if guys like you only ever bemoan how stupid everyone else is, act like elitists who have nothing better to do than join games and complain about how others are ruining your experience, and don't actually PLAY TO WIN, then what is the point?

Seriously, WHAT IS THE POINT.

You all sheeped after the cops. You've a majority and won't listen to sense. I'll not participate when I've nothing to contribute. I was responding to specific accusations that I coasted after being investigated, so stop trying to cloud the water. I'm not suggesting I should be cleared for a single days activity, I am specifically refuting a claim like I am now. I didn't blame everyone OTHER than me for the early days, did I? I said they were poorly played, which by any metric is true. Your arguments against me are simply incorrect. If you want to argue that I'm not contributing as much as I could, that's true. If you want to argue that I have a burden to raise the standard of play, that's false. I've tried in the past to make arguments and write cases but you all have made clear that all you care about are claimed investigations. In a cult game, you don't listen to power roles, because they're usually recruited by sun up.

Your post is made from the presumption that I am town, which you shouldn't know, but you do. You keep trying to goad me into putting a vote down and I won't. I dropped a vote yesterday and pulled flak for it, just like I would for the same today. This game is lost because the town is either a minority or is being lead by the scum around the maypole. You and the rest of the game have made clear that all you want from me is a vote on your favoured wagon and to shut up. So no, don't tell me to shut up the moment I start talking while telling me to participate more. Go jump in a lake.

CHAINSAW HARDER WHEN I ATTACK CHRONO'S CASE. THE MORE OBVIOUS THE BETTER.

There are a lot of people who see the game as hopeless because idiots are following the idiot cops, have you considered YOU MAY BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PEOPLE'S VIEW OF YOUR PLAY.

I actually agree with Gurgi on a number of things he's said.
More later, with the reread.

But seriously, it looks like townie like me can't win the game anymore; we have to be phased into a cult or die a loyal townie.

xvart/Yos: Do you mind telling a me what your wincon is?

Actually, I don't know it specifically. My invitation/threat to join Porfirio's forces only said I now won with that faction. I would imagine that it is once all our rivals are dead and we make up a majority of the town.

xvart.

And you're no better than Gurgi. Go take a long walk off a short dock, unless you're gonna lay a vote down on someone.
Why because your spamming the thread with absolutely useless rubbish and the majority of people speaking are working on assumptions which when you look back are plucked essentially from nowhere/unreliable sources. I know who Im going to vote for, but I wont be voting till Ive waded through the crap.

Also xvart if I have a jailkeep ability, I don't know about it.

I also agree with Gurgi. I have been quite elitist and then hypocritical in this game, you are totally free to complain about my flaws because I have spoke my mind the entire game then doubled back a bit when I started to lurk. We are taking assumptions off of yos and (as gurgi said) cops who have alignments which have possibly changed. Im inclined to believe Andi up to the day he caught yos. RC I couldnt care about, only because there hasnt been a useful result there. I believe we proved (me and chrono) that we are both rbers and the first person to claim unique power roles are clear as well. Beyond that... Andi, I have liked soundbites of what he has said and hated others. Im not voting till I work out this jk thing either and what it means when Ive targetted who I have.

Oh and larger cult/smaller cult? Im glad we all know because we got that information from the ideal source... shall we structure our game round that now...

There is no real small cult or large cult right now, if I'm right. They might differ by one member, but we shouldn't consider them large and small.
The #1 target is still Orange Recruiter, second to Orange Recruit.

What sense aren't we listening to?

Of course they're/we're sheeping the cops. It got us a recruiter yesterday, if you didn't notice.

If you don't have anything to contribute... then why don't you read the thread until you DO have something to contribute? I'm sick of townies in particular who like to lay the blame on everyone else for a shared loss which was earned by mutual shortcomings. I think I've done my part in getting information out, coming to multiple conclusions, and narrowing down to solutions. If you wanna pin ooba on me, fine. It's not like I made us waste a lynch on that.

And you are right, you
didn't
specifically say that everyone OTHER than you was responsible for the first few days. So I grant you that. And thank you for admitting that you are partially to blame.

My post isn't made from the presumption that you're town; my post is made from the presumption that you're being a fucking wet blanket and raining all over everyone else's parade while at the same time being a useless elitist asshole. Yes, I'm goading you to put a vote down. That may not be the only power you have, but it sure as hell counts for something, doesn't it? And yes, maybe we are being led around the maypole by scum, but when people just complain and moan about how everyone else is stupid, then nothing gets done, does it? Does it.

So either suck it up and contribute (feel free to 'spam' the thread, like Andrius and I, who actually care about winning), or shut up, hang up your gloves, and call it a day. At least throw a vote down on someone you feel marginally likely to be a recruiter. At this point I feel the only reason you aren't voting anyone is because you don't want to unintentionally clear them as not being in your scumgroup, if in fact it is found out that you are scum.

And I will not go jump in a lake.

And how is it a chainsaw for me to blast you for being useless after you attacked Chrono's case? I'm not even voting for you, I'm voting for Robocopter.

So your answer to this is to do.... what? Sit back and do nothing? Wait until the deadline to begin discussing things? Forget about everything we THINK we know, and start from scratch?

I'm dying to know what you want to do, if you don't want to do what we've BEEN doing the last ten pages.

Really. Please tell me.

Hey RC, what do you think of ani's play D1? And how about Flameaxe after that?
I'll resume the read at D3 once I eat lunch.

Well youve ignored my next post. I addressed that I have been hypocritical and I stated my next steps. I tried pointing out before I dont think the route we have gone down and the insinuations about the cults is a wise idea but again that got ignored. I don't particularly have any want to contribute anymore especially if my posts are "boring" (see Darox) and now failing anything stupid jumping out at me when I read, I will be voting one of the few people that have made this game semi interesting over the past 100 pages.

And yes, I am throwing an almighty sulk.

Just ISO'd them both, cause I didn't remember at all.

Ok, so... ani looks town to me. I definitely cannot see ani-recruiter. For some strange reason. If you ISO him yourself, you'll wonder the same thing I did: If I was a recruiter, would I play like this? And the answer is, ABSOLUTELY NOT. He's playing like furcolow, but with a little more ani thrown in. As in: "fluff, fluff, fluffety fluff, comment, fluff, commentz commentz fluff, 'hey guyz i'm pretty useless lol!', fluff, fluff, opinion, fluff, comment, opinion, fluuuuuffff." Definitely not how a recruiter would act. Even ani-recruiter.

As for Flameaxe... he's been doing an all-around good job so far, maintaining a good quota of activity, being helpful, and has that particular 'overall good townie vibe' emanating from his every orifice. in light of that, he'd be the first person I'd suspect to be a recruiter/godfather, simply because of WIFOM, and because I scumhunt in a backwards way, especially when it comes to players that obviously know what they're doing. But I AGREE with a lot of what flameaxe says. Like, a crazy amount. His points about Erg0. His points about Robo. His points about Yos2. His points about pretty much everyone and everything else. He doesn't seem to have a hidden agenda. But again, like I said, that's what makes him suspicious to me. Not to mention, it looks like xvart thinks he's the opposite recruiter too, AND we've narrowed down things very far so far, and he was one of the only ones left. BUUUT....

...but then I investigated him and got a townie result: specifically, that he's still 'fending for himself'. Which is the exact same result that I got on Chronopie and Lord Gurgi and Darox. None of them has flipped yet, but I'm pretty sure that there aren't FOUR recruiters. But Chronopie is confirmed not to be a recruiter, so that narrows it down a bit.

So overall: I still suspect ani/flameaxe, but not nearly as much as I did before. Especially after re-reading ani.

Really? Because I reread him and was more convinced he was recruiter.
But I can totally see Ani doing that as recruiter. Watching. As Vig he is active and draws his kills from lurkers and scum-reads.
And he buddied me. Alot. :igmeou:

You know what this thread needs? Moar Gurgi death. Make is so.

And RC, try taking your vote off Robo-Cult-Doctor, and put it on Gurgi-Recruiter kthx.

P.Edit: So active as vig... what's his Vanilla Townie playstyle like?

Posted: Thu Dec 02, 2010 9:49 am

Never seen him as VT.
Yeah. Only as The Lunatic, Vig, Mod, etc.

Chrono, stop being dumb. Makes me think you're orange.

Well, if you try to contrast his
vig
style, with his play this game (apparently
VT
), you're going to find a mismatch. rite?

Contrast his
VT
playstyle in other games with this one. If
they
don't match, you may have found the CR.

--

And you mentioned having narrowed it down to two suspects earlier. Ani/Flameaxe and... who? (Is it Gurgi?)

I was completely useless there; I specifically spammed pictures and shit D1 to throw off CMAR and Plum looking into my scum meta.

I'm on page 88.

Oh hey remember when I posted all those legitimate theories and nobody actually read them? Or they skimmed enough of it to say "no that won't work because of x" where X was something I went into in detail and had explained how it didn't invalidate my theory.
You probably don't. Not reading shit has that effect.

You want input?
Robocopter is scum because Yos started attacking xvart shortly after (But not immediately) xvart starting pointing fingers towards robocopter.
Bam.

Try not to stumble over the big words while you read it. Make sure you read every word and don't substitute your own words.
