I see no reason to assume ofrhz won't answer in a timely manner.

After which I'm cool with just lynching PP if he doesn't show up. I assume Pine's claim is real, because it makes too much sense for it not to be.

Okay, here's the deal. Last week was really difficult for me.

Apathy and ennui is a major feature of my bad times. I was barely keeping my head above water elsewhere around here, and completely failing to do so in a 100+ page thread.

I apologize for my absence. I probably should have replaced immediately, when the slot was still viable, rather than waiting until my unexplained absence had dug it into a hole no one wanted to take.

I kept this game bookmarked, but haven't really checked it in a week. On a whim I looked today to see who'd replaced me, and I found that no one had. That isn't fair to the Town, so I talked to xyzzy, and they're having a hard time finding someone who wants to read 125 pages with a disadvantaged slot. I'm going to give it another attempt, and I'll actually try this time.

Honestly, this post is what really got me to care enough to bother to contact xyzzy.

I don't do this as scum. Ever. Not once in my 7 years on site. It isn't how I operate. If I think something's lost, I try harder rather than giving up. Sometimes it works.

Here's an example of how I approach an "oh I'm fucked" scum slot. I replaced into this a few weeks ago by request, and went out in a blaze of glory. To see "scum gave up" attached to me is actually kind of offensive.

I have no idea. I barely skimmed the early game, don't remember much, and haven't read at all since at least dawn of D1. I thought I saw something about Mastina having an investigation of some kind?

I'm just engaging my replacement strategy at this point. I don't really know what's going on, and early D1 reads are usually obsolete by late D2 anyway.
