The sun slowly sets in Happyfunville, and the Voticutioner slowly starts cranking to life, thanks to it's new anti-solar panels. Once again, somebody's blood will be the seed of freedom's tree...
Day 3 ends, and Election 3 begins! PM your votes to me.
And no, we didn't used to call it "France's Tree". Pinko.- JereIC

Dawn breaks in the quiet, underpopulated town of Happyfunville. It breaks, in particular, upon Astronaut's broken body, emptied of the life that it used to contained, and filled now with stab wounds. How, you may ask, can something be filled with what is essentially holes?
Magic.
We used magic to get to the moon in 1969, and I'm sure going to use it to finish this memo by the due date. The only question now, is how?
Astronaut, townie, has been stabbed to death!
It is now Day 4. Five remain, so it will take three to start a vote.- inHimshallibe

Funny thing - everybody in the game right now is a replacement.
Hmmm...
this may ring true now. I need to think.mathcam wrote:the number of people suspicious of Speedy is almost making me think he's pro-town.Show"I'm from Indiana. I know what you're thinking: Indiana... Mafia." - Jim Gaffigan

Hi everybody, replaced Someone.
After reading through the post IFOS: SpeedyKQ, his way of prefering the choose made me think that it could be used as a way of the mafia to find out who they should vote for. And him pointing fingers at Choco, could also easily be a trick to make him look better.
But, I'll still hear what he has to say..- Thok

I need to do a more careful rereading of the thread, but I'm still think SpeedyKQ is best lynch for today. I'm going to assume that we are at lynch or lose, so we shouldn't go to a vote unless we can get a consensus of 4 people to agree on a fifth person to vote for.
If anybody's a cop, they might want to consider claiming now, especially if they can help us catch scum today.- inHimshallibe

Pondering over scenarios, I'm beginning to think having the Cop reveal her- or himself at this moment could be essential.Show"I'm from Indiana. I know what you're thinking: Indiana... Mafia." - Jim Gaffigan

I really don't know what to think after how yesterday went. I've managed to second-guess myself all over the place and now we're down to 5 people and quite possibly a lynch or lose situation. Inhim has my gut suspicion right now, primarily based on the end of yesterday. A cop coming out would be great, even if it's to clear innocent(s). I'm not opposed to everyone claiming at this point either.- Tyfo

I tend to believe the cop claim. I had a feeling that Someone was the cop the way he changed his mind about Choco's scumminess between day 1 and day 2.
In fact, if I accept Tyfo's claim, and ibaesha as an innocent, if there are 2 scum left they have to be inHim and Thok. I'll support a lynch of either of the two.Mafia is hard.- inHimshallibe

Aha. Speedy, that's quite the ploy. Ias well that I am innocent, so if there are 2 Mafia left, then itknowto be Thok and Speedy. Two can play this game, and I imagine a third will join as well. But, the fact that Speedy explicitly said this makes me suspect him even more. Of course it's going to be down to us three, and if there are 2 scum left, thenhasthere's only one innocent that knows he is clean, leaving, quite logically, the other two as mafia. You're quick pounce was too blatant, Speedy. We've got this game in the bag.of course
Yes, though, this depends on Tyfo's truthfulness. Given what seems to be a limited experience playing the game (I'm sorry, Tyfo, if I'm wrong), I'm leaning more toward him telling the truth.
I don't really think a mass claim is going to get us through much, at this point. But, if we do, iba should of course claim last. I'll even volunteer to go first.Show"I'm from Indiana. I know what you're thinking: Indiana... Mafia." - Jim Gaffigan

It is true that my experience with this game is lacking. However, I have read enough strategies and games to be able to easily not tell the truth, my role of newbie would help me convince people.inHimshallibe wrote:Aha. Speedy, that's quite the ploy. However, I still claim cop, but you unfortunately cannot be sure before we win or I am dead.

Tyfo - I believe you.

I was already happy with voting Speedy today, as mentioned earlier.
Tfyo, could you tell us who were the dead people that you/Someone investigated? While that information won't help us find who is scum, it will help us determine the validity of your claim.
Also, there's a chance that we have a back-up cop, given that we had a back-up doc. It might be worthwhile for that person to claim; among other things it will help us confirm that Tyfo is a cop. (I'll leave it up to the back-up cop's judgement to decide whether that's a good idea; for example, I'm not sure what would happen if multiple people claim back-up cop.)- ibaesha

Should the 'confirmed innocent' believe the claimed cop? No one is counter-claiming so as Speedy already said we either have a cop or we don't. I just find post 339 to be kinda weird. Anyways, if I believe the claim, which I'm inclined to, more because I didn't find Someone suspicious than anything else, then that leaves one or two of Thok, Inhim, and Speedy to be scum. Going into yesterday and for quite a while I found Speedy suspicious. However, I also found mathcam suspicious. mathcam didn't believe Speedy was scum, however was trying to save himself, which is understandable. He also had high suspicions of Inhim, which I came to have myself towards the end of yesterday.
As creepy as the end of yesterday was, I'm also finding it creepy how fast it's going towards a Speedy lynch today. Think about this, Tyfo.- Thok

If you want, we could lynch inhim or myself instead (obviously, I know I'm protown, but I probably have to convince everybody else of that). I find the argument for inhim being scum less compelling then the early day 1 behavior of Pariah and the apparent Chococid connection, but in any case we shouldn't vote until we get everybody to agree on a consensus-we don't want to give scum a chance to rig the election.- inHimshallibe

Post 339 was just to say/show you that you can't be sure whether I am a cop or not. But you and I know that you are innocent, and yes, I could be a mafia and claim that you are innocent.ibaesha wrote:Should the 'confirmed innocent' believe the claimed cop? These are the persons that Someone investigated;
Night 1: Mathcam (deceased) is pro-town
Night 2: Chococid (deceased) is anti-town
Night 3: ibaesha is pro-town
And the one I investigated;
Night 4: Astronaut (deceased, sadly) was pro-town..- SpeedyKQ

These are not the words of a pro-town player folks. If the town lynches wrong today we almost definitely lose, so a pro-town player would not even think to suggest this. These are the words of a mafia trying to ingratiate himself to the town.Thok wrote:If you want, we could lynch inhim ormyselfinsteadMafia is hard.- ibaesha

mathcam wrote:Well, Speedy does seem to be at or near the top of just about everyone's list. Though I'd like to do some kind of count of this before making any "official" statement, the number of people suspicious of Speedy is almost making me think he's pro-town.
mathcam wrote:The town has decided it's going to be either me or Speedy. I know I'm innocent, so I have no choice but to push the Speedy bandwagon, regardless of whether or not I think he's pro-town. I attempted to push a bandwagon on someone who I think actually is scum, but when that failed, I have to fall back to a plan that has a chance of succeeding.mathcam wrote:I'd be ready to vote inHim if that bandwagon had/has any support.
Thok wrote:If somebody would explain why inhim is suspicious, I'd considered going along with it. I literally just reread to thread focusing on inhim, and all that did was make me find mathcam more suspicious for consistently pushing inhim as likely scum.
I'm not okay with voting for Speedy today. We know that mathcam was innocent and that he believed Speedy was pro-town. Taking into consideration that mathcam is a far better player than I am, I'm willing to trust his instincts. The connection between Thok and Inhim is a bit much and if there are two scum, I think they are it. I find Inhim the most suspicious of the two so that's where I'd like to place my vote today unless we come to a consensus to make it Thok.
Thok's willingness to lynch himself is pretty damn scummy.
Inhim saying he'll just flip a coin is also damn scummy.
I'd say that this confidence they're showing was bolstered by the fact that Tyfo was so ready to vote for Speedy today and they think they've got this in the bag.- inHimshallibe

Not from my point of view.Inhim saying he'll just flip a coin is also damn scummy.
This game is going to come down to who believes me or not, because [~*-CLAIM-*~]I'm the[~*-CLAIM-*~] and I can put the clamps on this game and win it for us, Town. As long as I'm not lynched, we win. That post was deliberate. I wanted somebody to ask me about it. I don't have any deaths to show for my name, because I felt it would be stupid to kill and decrease our numbers, when what the Town needs most are the numbers.vig
I'm ready to go with Thok or Speedy. If the game goes on after this round of voting, I'll gladly kill the remainder. ibaesha and Tyfo get to decide. I don't care. Anyone have a coin? Let's lynch one of them.
