Also, real answer on Psyche - did multiple gambits, most of which were not pro town, then played a newbie card when called on them and went from blazing dynamo to lurking sadsack as soon as pressure mounted.

Are you gaining anything from your little spat with Thor, Acos?

??? Switch the names and this question makes more sense. Who's continuing it? Who dug up posts and prolonged a discussion the other person tired of?
Remarkable.
Are you gaining anything from that question?

Hm. dicknose asks a lot of unrelated questions and fails to take a firm stand on things, preferring to snipe from outside. However, I've seen town do that before. Still, it's something to take note of. Not very committal.

Here's your first post wherein you make a "/ntsrs" vote on me and mention a game we won as scum.
News flash, that's not buddying. That's entering a game and acknowledging posts directed at you. Thanks for trying to make that look scummy, though. o7
↑Acosmist wrote:Yates talking about a prod of people who posted within 24 hours? Really? After you missed out on half of the day and burst in late with meaningless comments?
[/quote]You *do* have trouble with time, don't you? There are 24 hours in a day. 24/2 = 12 hours would be HALF of a day. First post was 00:06. My first post was 08:50. By my math [granted, it has been a while since I took a course in simple subtraction so you may want to double check my work with a slide rule] 08:50-00:06= 8 hours and 44 minutes. That's a far cry from "half a day." I believe admin allows for naps and poops and stuff.
More fun with math... First post was June 21 at 00:06. My prod request was June 22 at 18:25. AI's first post was June 23 at 07:03. This math is a little trickier so I'll walk you through it:
June 21 00:06 to June 22 00:06 = 24 hours. 18:25-00:06 = 18 hours 19 minutes + 24 hours = 42 hours 19 minutes. Far cry from <24 hours.
I see you have been having trouble with facts so I'll just dismiss the qualitative statement regarding the "meaningfulness" of my initial post outright and allow for the results of that post to speak for itself. Oh wait. It just did. Because you aren't hanged yet.
@ben - that was a fair point. When I said you were "active" on site I meant simply that you guys had posted. I didn't look at your posts I just looked at timestamps. Unlike Acosmist, I can do time math so I had those as qualitative numbers.

24 hours is not a day. See, day 1 is still going on, and it's been more than 24 hours. People had posted, I'm thinking specifically of Benmage, 18 hours or so before you posted that he should be prodded (going by memory, OH NO THOR WILL CHECK ME RUTHLESSLY). You missed half the day 1 discussion at that point, was what I was saying. At that point roughly half the pages of this thread occurred before you posted. So you missed a lot of content, and then were saying that people should be prodded. That's weird.

It is sort of funny how you tripped over your own attempted humor there, though. Mafia days and real world days can be different :teach:

No. What's weird is having two people that posted a bit during RVS and not returning and having another that didn't post AT ALL. My concern was wondering if that particular slot even knew the game had started.
Also, your statement appeared to be referring to real world days since, as you have so "cleverly" pointed out, mafia days are longer tha real world days. 1 mafia day is in fact equal to 14 real world days. And, since I have posts in every real world day since the beginning of the game, you could CLEARLY not be referring to me missing 7 mafia days. The game hasn't even been going for half a day.
You don't get it both ways. Congratulations. You fail in two methods of time keeping.

Dude, a lot of posts happened, but it still wasn't a lot of time. Your request was weird.
Conversational implicature. Learn what it is. Half the mafia day so far is what you had missed. In posts. Not in time. Stop being silly and pedantic. That's my job.

How can you call upon conversational implicature when you use a quantitative statement like "within 24 hours" within the same line of text?
Congratulations, I guess, on achieving success in making silly and pedantic posts [with a stress on "silly"] as none of your statements hold up under scrutiny. No matter how you measure time, I have been an active contributor to this game thereby disproving your implied sub-textual tenet that I am equally guilty of not contributing and therefore have no right to question the activity of 3 slots that had not been contributing.
So... nou?

You can believe whatever you want, and you can think what I said was stupid and that I'm insane for having a private language of my own. Point is, I'm stipulating to the definitions of the words I used, and I've explain those definitions.
Also, dude, I never suggested or thought you weren't contributing. I just said it was hypocritical and/or weird of you to suggest we need to lurker prod people under the circumstances that existed when you made your first post. It's a fact about your attitude that I am filing away. I don't know what it means yet.

First point is exactly what I said, though I only saw two gambits - my wagon and the daykill. Daykill was pretty stupid, but town has done that a lot, so I'm not sure what to think about it. I DO, however, think it was unwise given the tiny chance a bad thing might have happened (not the kill, but...stuff).
Second point, I read over the thread but really didn't engage my brain about that point. Newbie card where?
Third point, yeahhhhhh a lot of people have kind of stopped posting. Boo.
My vote will stay on Psyche.

@Acosmist - wait, so you expect me to look up something for you - how about you go do an iso of me and Ctrl+F Newbie, you'll find the half a dozen or so posts that was had.

Now...whose spat is this? Because it's sure not mine anymore.

Also, Thor doesn't want to make a case on the person he's voting. OK. Weird.

Um...I did already, and you responded to it...so, whut?
Oh, I see, my step by step directions of how to find the supporting evidence to my case counts as 'not making a case' now?
Sorry, when you make up definitions as you go I get confused - apparently 'butthurt' means 'is onto Acosmist's uselesness' or something. Crazy stuff.

Holy crap Psyche, you've posted all over the site except here. Don't make me vote with Thor and lynch you.
I'm going to VOTE: psyche, or rather, this slot now that a replacement is coming in.
Through the entire game, psyche has been vote hopping. Next matt puts up an argument, psyche says it is "silly" but still unvotes (perhaps I missed something here, and if I did, could someone please point it out to me). Personally, I believe if someone had a silly argument, why unvote? On top of this, psyche's vote was never placed anywhere else. Not very town to me either. Most townies have only one ability, their own vote. Why not use it?
