I'm going to take this over when I get back from baltomeet unless zoidberg shows up and tells me not to. Will require new input.

cause they can't even process the people they have already, adding new people really isn't productive.

I'd tie the form directly to the data processing and update results in real time. You are right that I could use your data to seed the initial list though if you give it to me. These are thoughts for 2 days from now though.

Sorry guys, believe it or not I'm still working on it but I'm going slow because I'm just so busy lately.

Planning a wedding and applying to grad school are taking up a good deal of my time. There's no reason someone else can't also work on it; I certainly won't be upset. I just feel guilty for letting Nacho down :(

What type of system running it?

What codes does one need to know to do it, if any?

Nacho, is there coding necessary? And if so, what language? Depending, I can possible help.

there's coding necessary and i have no idea how the hell to do it
essentially, i have a bunch of people answer a questionnaire with their own answers as well as answers they want to see , then they mark how important it is for them to have a possible (mafiabuddy's?) answer match their own.

so what we need is a program that can take these numbers, add them all up, and calculate compatibility

if you're interested in helping, PM me or site chat it or gchat it or something

Essentially what it sounds like you need is two different things.

Test 1 Inputs into a database the specifications for each player.

Test 2 Checks said database for the nearest matches.

Let me reword that.

Person A
Person B

It needs to check which one person B's answers matches up with what Person A is looking for. Then it needs to add up the total point value of all of those correct answers. (Right Answers/Total Questions with different questions weighted differently).

Then it needs to check which of person A's answers matches up with what Person B is looking for. Then it adds up the total point value of those correct answers, gives a different percentage.

Then multiply these percentages together and take the nth root, where n is questions that at least one of them answered.

Well I'm not going to waste my time on a v3 'cause there won't be results for those either.

I'm going to be done this in a couple days and results will be outputted in realtime, so no need to worry about them not being tabulated.
