oh no I'm really scared
not. this feels like you're resorting to scare tactics to get me off mastin
did you notice zmuffin did this with his read on me? also did you notice they're defending each other for p much no reason?
read: how do you like the chance of mastin x zmuffin team?
In post 298, Kazekirimaru wrote:But I must admit...this feels off. Mastin is supposedly one of the most experienced players around. To be felled by such a thing as this? I don't know. I'd expect scum-Mastin to have more chops than that.
Not to mention one would expect scum to contrive reasoning when pressured. Mastin is literally saying "It is because it feels that way and that's all I got." Not even an ounce of fuck-giving. Would scum be so brash as to just put down reads with no reasoning and not even bother to explain? Even when pressured? It wouldn't be the first time I've seen scum just take the "I don't care" route, but I'm not sure it would come from Mastin.
it's not just the fact that his reads suck it's how he was acting all confident about them and trying to force them on everyone when he really shouldn't have been. see my case on him
also, if scum-mastin has more chops than this why don't you think he'd take the "I don't care" route as scum?
In post 319, Cabd wrote:Re Pie, he feels off and to explain would be a PITA, so.... later.
what the fuck is this? why are you reading me based on feeling "off" when my scumgame is like one of the most transparent things ever? given you like meta, I'd expect you of all people to know this 0.0
In post 322, Brian Skies wrote:Since you know how the role works and I wasn't in any danger based on positioning, why can moving my vote only come from a scum me?
no the point is scum are more aware of super-saints and you mentioned one for some unspecified reason. even if you're not directly in danger, thinking about super-saints is smth that probably comes more from a scum mindset
In post 322, Brian Skies wrote:Also, if you look at the nature of my wagon, of course I'd be sarcastic. It just looked like an RVS wagon. If I got lynched as a result (which I did think was a possibility, especially after my self-vote), then this game no longer becomes my problem and I can focus on my other games.
holy fuck this is town as fk. given Brian likes scum and I'm p sure he said he thinks playing town is like homework, this outright fatalism is smth I'd never expect him to do is scum

In post 251, sangres wrote:"can't fake as scum" doesn't have much to do with the way I build models. I have been able to catch players on the basis of my town-model not fitting their behaviors in a game. It's not just "does X" or "doesn't do Y".
That reminds me. I don't know if you've seen this yet, but this is my last
scum game. It also got me fabulously mislynched by Mala in AG because she was being super paranoid. I got kinda lazy after my scumbuddy convinced me to NK Nacho (he was actually my fourth choice, but "Nacho is really good at reading people" is a pretty persuasive argument).
In post 262, Kazekirimaru wrote:And how can you say he's not lurking at this point? The game has been up for two days and he hasn't posted for the latter one.
Okay, first of all, my lurking/inactivity isn't alignment indicative (that goes for you too, Mastin; I'd also hardly consider being gone for half a day as "lurking"). Secondly, a new semester has started for me so I'm probably going to be making most of my posting at night.
Oh Gawd! Are you both scum?
Well, this game isn't bastard so I can't be a jester. And what makes you think I was happy about it?
In post 287, Metal Sonic wrote: In post 266, Cabd wrote:Mastin, when you attempt to turn in your AP Calc homework with just answers and no work shown, don't be fucking surprised when everyone thinks you cheated and already had the answer sheet.
this post is so town and is getting lots of townpoints from me
Really? For a guy that's supposedly pretty familiar with overall site meta, it's a pretty disappointing post coming from Cabd. Yes, I think the lack of substantiation of Mastin's reads is an issue. No, I don't think he's scummy for it.
In post 303, sangres wrote:For me, the Walking Dead game was way more of a "something's not right"
This is a good place to start, and it was the main reason why I was so wary of him in AG and kept trying to figure out why.

Mastin's play being generally "lack-of-evidence" doesn't give him a free past to give unsubstantiated reads. Mind you I policy voted him for this last time.

Why not? There's no rule that says I can't join my own wagon. And it's not like I self-hammered.
Seeing people like you/Cabd react to it is also rather interesting.

I've never even seen one before!
This reminds me of Mismatched when I thought Shiny could have been a jester (which I didn't realize until later that it was because Bert had already mentioned it earlier in the thread).

Hmm. Wasn't expecting this 180. Not sure what to think.
@Orci: I'll move it when I damn well please.

ffery,
do you think you can read pieguy? what do you think of his posts so far?
i think he's really shit at imitating his town game and he doesn't quite know what to say to me. all his responses to my suspicion of him have felt unnatural

this post, for example, is not something i'd expect to see from town pieguy
the phrasing of it feels really off
and this feels like unnatural confidence; like he's feigning it
i don't believe he would be this confident about a read on me this early on, either. and even if he were confident about a read on me, he wouldn't be expressing it in this manner

also i agree with mastin's assessment of pieguy's posts so far. his early posts felt really forced
this was pretty spot on, too
In post 166, mastin2 wrote:Okay, pie. I'll be blunt. Normally, when you're town, I can generally get an air for it. Maybe not an absolute air, but a general air of it.
What I'm seeing here has an utter lack of it. It feels weak. Half-hearted. Fake. As if you're playing a game of manipulation rather than analysis.
i think, in the post linked, the question to AFB was what felt the most unnatural about it. like, he knows that as town he questions people about other people, but that was like.... the second page. and there was no direction to the question, it was just a random question out of nowhere. i mean, the other parts of the post are no better, but yeah. it looks like he's trying to (very poorly) imitate his town game.

vote: Brian
what are your thoughts on sangres so far?
You got it.
I've no thoughts on sangres.
40 sounds like quiiiite the stretch for scumreading Brian and I have a hard time believing that Kaze was REALLY scumreading Brian over something so oddly specific as Supersaint Hunting when its like, IDK, PAGE ONE.
This looks like Kaze just decided to roll with this explanation after the fact. Buddying/bullshitting, w/e. Kaze gets an early scumread. And his quote walls are less than inspiring, reads like hes trying hard but not really getting anywhere.
Well lets see its page 2 and I am trolling ffery and she seems unaware that the chronic troll is trolling her. Duhhhhhh, null-leaning-scum off the bat for her.
In post 31, sangres wrote:
Town and town.
I havent read any of their posts but probability is on my side and maybe Brian made a post that seemed pretty town?
This post is also "meh" but leaning towards "Uhhhh, ffery are you SURE you rolled town??" with a dash of ffery suddenly being cheeky and not realizing that I was doing just that not 5 posts ago?

incorrect. I'm p sure of you scum. why do you think I wouldn't be confident in a read on you this early?
as for why, you were basically sitting there and doing fuck all at the start of the game. and the way you were doing it feels forced. it seems like you tried to imitate your usual trolling but overdid it almost. normally I see it for a few posts but in this case it continues all the way till
134. I also don't get what the hell is up with you and mastin's reads on each other
as for your suspicion on me, I asked you twice about your read on me and when you didn't explain it I figured you were just trying to troll and/or manipulate me. so I wasn't taking it seriously. I figured if you were trying to troll me the best response would be to ignore you and see how you went from there
the fact that you chose to take this specific angle with ffery specifically makes me even more sure you're scum who made the mistake of thinking I'm mislynchable this game

Hasty reads cause Im at work and stuff (still not nearly caught up, but doing that a bit now)
Venmar - Townish. I like his paranoia on our slot and he doesn't seem to be pushing any particular agenda with pressuring us (reads genuine)
Brian - Null-leaning-townish? Brian is different than I have seen him, but he feels like he got another town-card and is just rolling with all the trolls at this point because fuck it, he ain't got nothing to hide.
Metal Sonic - Town for post
137 alone. Obvious town even. If you can't see it, then I can't help you.
Cephrir - Ummmm, Hmmmm, Durrrr, Meehhhh? You scum? Your ISO kind of looks like it, scumrir. Splash of opinions, one of them (The SkullDuggery one in
post 62) reads a bit unnatural to me. Has no real opinion on Skull other than "wallposts, gross!" (but apparently likes Kazes?) and decides to question my townread here over the Kaze scumread? Weird. WEIRD. Reads like hes trying to actively be in the game rather than having natural opinions about people.

I'd actually like a response to this as well. But if he had simply unvoted me after #117, I probably would have attacked him.
Which reminds me. Why haven't you responded to this yet, Orci?

ZmuffinMan - Null leaning scummy. I dislike his posting about the Brian wagon. Very controlled posting, nothing that looks very town motivated. Keeps insisting that Pie is scum like hes hoping someone will bite the bait? Which Kagami evidently does
here

Uhhh, who gives a fuck about meta?
100 people surveyed, top 3 answers on the board. "Why does Zmuffin know mastin is town?"
AngryPidgeon: Uhhh, is it that Mastin isn't on his scumteam, Richard?
Richard: A bold answer, lets see what the people SAID!!

get out of my head. it feels like he was trying to imitate his usual town trolling but ended up forcing it
afaik the reason everyone was townreading Skull was bc she was playing the same way as all her other games. so I wanted to make sure she couldn't fake as scum. it seems there was more to it than that tho
