is not an objectively bad play

it gets us to the meat of the game faster, forces everyone to take a stance on a narrow POE, and we get to engage in hand to hand combat instead of allowing the scum to mold whatever narrative they want.

Even if this is a 4 town challenge(which odds are its not) if we are able to really determine everyone is town here, that's still 3 townies that will be valuable in a NIGHTLESS game where scum CANT KILL THEM.

That's why a town perspective entering this POE-4 should be to figure out who the bad guy is and push them.

Instead Baltar's perspective is

"let's kill Pooky cuz he's an idiot"

"let's kill Pooky because even if he's town he's helping scum"

He's not even trying to find the bad guy, he's decided to autoslot Noraa as green despite having no legit reason to do so.

He's decided he wants to kill Pooky despite more or less knowing Pooky is green because Pooky isn't playing according to some arbitrary standard of goodness he's decided on.

This is scummy as hell behavior and not a town mindset at all.

I didn't remember there are no NKs in this game, so that does change it a bit and makes your play slightly less bad. But still, I don't think it was a good play to force it that fast with no information. Forcing scummy players into the challenge is optimal.
