I think being smug in the way I perceive you is scum-indicative, yeah. Or maybe smug is the wrong word. Idk. Maybe it's that you feel overly comfortable with the gamestate in a way I don't think town would be? I'm not good at this part.

i like Gamma's posts more than Infinity's. i don't know if i'm good at reading Gamma but i like that he did put a case down, even if i don't really agree with it.
i do agree re: Titus, i wouldn't say her play has been strongly AI yet but it has been her usual self.

Gamma, i see your point about asking my opinion on your slot and then agreeing with it, but bob did have something original to say too. i'm also skeptical of him having and then deciding to declare you scum, if for no other reason than because it wouldn't be a great idea.
the playstyle/different site culture thing is probably a sticking point, but even beyond that bob's style here is not completely foreign to mafiascum.
i don't know, i don't think you're technically incorrect and it does seem like you're approaching this in a fair way, he really hasn't explained much and i'd hazard a guess he's going by gut/intuition and pressing forward from there.

not moving the gamestate forward was a problem i had with your slot as well, and i see your point about bob not doing anything to remedy that either.
anyway, if i'm not seeing obvscum pushing through reads with little to no reasoning i'm going to feel like an idiot, but i'm also not interested in second-guessing myself this early.

i don't feel particularly comfortable. i am in a better mood than yesterday, however.
i'm not used to deadlines this short, either. i know in my head we really need to get moving but it feels like the game just started because it did.

I coudn't read that post because I got distracted blaring red scum alarms going off in my head. It's showy and fabricated and it feels so dispassionate about the bob wagon that I don't believe it really TRs bob. I need to talk to gamma because I'm not seeing chara and bob as scum together but chara needs to die

i don't remember this at all but if the feeling of embarrassment in my gut is any indication i imagine it was some laughably bad play i made as scum.

anyways, i'm actively trying to keep emotions out of my play, so i don't find it surprising that you've found my tone awkward to navigate when i'm in this sort of mood.

i don't think i was giving the impression that i hard townread bob enough to want to defend them, nor do i think i've actually done so beyond reiterating where my own read came from. i could be totally offbase. and it looks like you have some expectations about town reactions that i'm not going to hit.

pedit: i'm not great at being inspirational when i have few strong reads myself. but sure, okay. you should keep doing what you're doing, i've heard people respond well to vague negativity.

i don't think Nancy's very readable on tone but she does have a very distinct pattern as town that makes her (semi-consistently) readable once she gets going. i recognize this is vague and unhelpful but i feel like i'd embarrass myself trying to explain it, and also i don't want to. the point is i don't think tonally comparing her to one or two games would be as useful as looking at how she solves and what she reacts to.

there's a through-line in the concern about Titus's claim and my words on it to Raya, but besides that the bob vote is pretty out of nowhere and i'd appreciate a followup.

It could also be playstyle since Infinity’s push on you also reads a bit overstated but he also implied he scumread us soley based on a question that Infinity asked us, so it was partially that because he still hasn’t explained how our slot figures into it. I have no meta on bob but that’s not for a lack of trying. The only post of his I could find was in the signup thread. Also for me unless a slot feels obviously scummy like Bulge did In The Shape of Water, I question how either IZ or bob can have that strong a scumread because as you know I’m far more likely to have confident townreads than scumreads on D1.

I think you sound here similar to how you did in Cards of Destiny and I understand what you said about Titus. I too lean town on her but it is also true that her telling the truth about her role is NAI, so I didn’t read anything into that.

i don't think Cards of Destiny is a metric for my play, because i was definitely phoning it in for large swathes of that game. but i get what you're saying re: bob and Infinity.

i assumed bob was from another site, but his comment about not knowing me makes me wonder if he's an alt. i guess it doesn't really matter.

You could also add how much she solves because I do a helluva lot more of that as town because it’s actually fun when you’re town.
