What does nominating even DO?

As in, does anyone actually make anything happen in this thread?

Or does it just.... exist. (kind of like the Title Fairy thread)

Darth Yoshi created Faith + 1 here. We nominated -> nth'ed here. It's now being used by myself and DY in our Open games.

I'm sure a lot of this thread does just
exist
, though.

Mafia of the Gods V3

1x Cop
1x Picky Lover A
1x Picky Lover B
1x Picky Lover C
1x Picky Lover D
6x Townies

1x BP PGO SK Picky Lover E

2x Mafia Goons
1x Mafia Picky Lover F

Ok so each Picky Lover is paired with another Picky Lover Randomly. Each night the lovers can individually choose to either do nothing or kill their partners. If they kill their partner and their partner does not kill them then they will not die.
The SK Picky Lover can not be killed by his partner or at night by the mafia. This creates a nice WIFOM I think. Also is the SK chooses to off his partner he cannot kill that night.
The reason I made the SK a PGO is because it gives the mafia picky lover a reason not to just kill his lover N1 no matter what, also it makes the SK think twice about killing his lover night one because he could kill someone else in stead and hope his lover tries to kill him.

Re posting for urgency.

This plus discussion. Some people are nominating games that are not balanced. I like to see a discussion of those people that are not only coming up with the game but those who look at the balance and can see the flaws.
I'm talking to mith about having someone become a person to look at these and determine if it's balanced, based on the nom's from others.

I like the WIFOM of this design.
This is a 9 player game? I saw your spoiler and it looked like it was 12. Can I confirm the number of players in the game.

My biggest issue is trying to fill this game up. Any game that has more the 12 players gets difficult to fill. I would want to see big support for a game like this and more discussion.

I was a white mage who protected every night, once. But I was scum on a small team in a large game.

You need 1 Modded Game to start with Mini Themes. There's Mini Normals, but yeah, who knows? It's got to be reviewed, you know. Even Open Games.

Do thieves fall under INSPECTION? I mean, when they steal, does their action count as an inspection when relating to natural resolution?

Posted: Mon May 23, 2011 2:37 am
by cjdrum
I think of a Thief as a Flavour Cop + Roleblocker that has to target the same person for both abilities.

So I'd put the Thief's action under both "Blocking"
and
"Inspecting", to be worked out as if they were separate actions.

Of course, if the Thief doesn't Block the target, then definitely just under "Inspection" or "Investigation".

Ah, I see. That does make sense. <3 I really needed that. : D

Can mafia have DELAYED kills? For example, they would say Delay kill: PLAYER Killed N2 and then they'd be able to kill on N2 as well? (meaning the kills would stack up)

I'm just wondering : D
