I'm guessing that, strictly speaking, that's not true. He understands that he's got a good chance of being wrong. The important thing to understand is that

he doesn't care that he might be wrong

. Lynching someone who is probably scum is good enough. So no, it isn't a plot, he really is trying to get them lynched; but I think he does see shades of gray, he just ignores them.

And it becomes immensely frustrating to try to fight him off, with no one paying attention to counter arguments at all. I couldn't fight off his brainless clones either (Stephoscope most notably) because they were such mindless followers. With no one paying attention, and frustration mounting, one becomes a completely ineffective scum hunter.

I guess I'm not so keen on "UR SCUM!" "NO U!" kind of games. Mind you, I'm not a proponent of walls of text either, something down the middle is nice.

The game was a fantastic concept, it worked very well, and I'm grateful to Yos and Ether for running it so smoothly.

I have a yellow lab too! I must say, she knows scum when she sees it. One time when she met this guy who sucks, she immediately threw up by his feet.

The reaction from the (innocent) players being called out as a scumteam was unlike the reaction I would have expected from townies who weren't sure about the alignments of the others. DGB seems to get seized with absolute certainty that certain people are scum and certain other people are town. She then fights with all her strength for her convictions, no holds barred, no second guessing, even to the point of sacrificing herself to bring down someone she is sure is scum.

This does tend to make her not look like someone who is unsure of alignments.

The bigger problem is that when she's wrong her antics can be very bad for the town. I suspect she's right more often than average, but it's not enough to justify her singleminded certainty.
