Mara the reason why I-ffery keep asking about how your hydra's reads line up is because you guys AREN'T playing a consensus game. It seems like you're intentionally ramping up the dissonance. Which is ok. But what that means is that where your hydra's vote is at the end of the game day is somewhat a matter of chance. Take today. I feel like whether you guys are on an Anti wagon or not is entirely dependent on who voted last.

that's fair, I guess. I was pretty stubborn about my read on anti hero, but at this point in time I think I will give him what he wants because I need to do a reset. The only scum-read I have alive at this point is Egg, and for role reasons he doesn't really seem to be very scummy. I think your slot is town, and I probably won't fight nacho on that anymore.

I've had a general dislike for the Jesus slot for the past game Day. Their recent posts are annoying me and haven't really done anything to make me feel better about them. I'm having a difficult time determining how much of my opinion is just personal and how much of it is actually influenced by their alignment. For instance, Mara arguing with me about her motivation for complaining about how people address her is riling me up and certainly not making me feel that their slot is giving off townvibes. Its possible I'm just being stubborn about my sentiments on them and thats coloring my opinion on their alignment. They have been my pet paranoia-read for a while, probably for a few reasons, and I did mention that I was heavily considering them Today because of what I gathered from AA9/Mikuru posts, but I lack resolve to commit to that just yet.

Antihero coming in and getting in their face is what I kind of want to do (and might do if I weren't in a hydra : P). His point about their stance on Egg being weird (scumreading, but not voting) resonated a bit because I don't really get their perspective on Egg and he is right that its weird they aren't considering Egg at all despite him being their top(?) scumread. I envy his confidence because ffery and I have been scumhunting in circles to a degree this game :S. We are both having trouble even locking down a solid town group to work with.

I also really liked this sentence in a kind of deep way which I'll try to explain. The posts from them that I keep focusing on are their AtE posts (which is kind of the point of AtE posts tbh) in which Mara tells me I'm bad at reading them, Nacho apparently writes Mara's words down about how I always scumread them, and Nacho makes a large post calling Regfan egotistical. When I try to sit back without looking at their posts and gather my thoughts about what they've done, THAT is what sticks out and Antihero's entire attitude and phrasing here just fits with my perception of their posts. And I understand why these things from them would look town to someone and I worry that they are purposely posting them as scum for that purpose. I know I just wrote a paragraph about a seemingly unimportant sentence, but antihero's post really did strike a chord with me and that is the best way I can describe how I feel about it.

All that said, what my heart really wants to believe is that they are just X-bussing each other which explains why they are both so confident. Soooo. I don't know. I am personally struggling because playstyles in this game are bouncing off my general approach to scumhunting. You like to wade through details and go from facts -> patterns -> scumreads where I personally doubt the efficacy of that a lot of the time and have a hard time following your train of thought when it involves meta analysis and other highly objective approaches to getting reads. Eyestott is admitting to (and doing) scumhunting via flavor. I mean all I can really remember of him from Yesterday is that he scumread Boon (for being inconsistent) and apparently Medea (since Medea would have to be lying for his Boon case to make sense?). I tend to find inconsistencies less scummy than other people because I think both alignments are capable of screwing up details and the motivation/context is what interests me more. Eye's approach to the game just feels like IIoA to me (even if its not) and I have a hard time judging if I think his thought process is town for that reason. Boon is just fucking bonkers this game and I don't know where to begin. I guess I could ISO him. No offense to Egg, but hes really kind of AFK this game. His posts have been mostly one liners and I keep getting caught up in how he is messing up facts blatantly, and my efforts to talk to him have been largely about that and I haven't really got a good feel for where I think his thought process is coming from (town or scum). Add to that that I clearly disagree with him about how an RB should be played and I have a hard time getting around to actually critically thinking about his motivation objectively.

I'm not even going to start on antihero and jesus. Antihero should actually be the player I have the best grasp on, maybe I will try and ISO him.

In summary, I like to read posts ad nauseum until I see one thing that I just -know- has to be from town or at least VERY LIKELY and I move on. Nobody is really posting anything that I can connect to emotionally. Marquis was the closest with all his talk of paranoia and then he died. F16 hit a couple similar notes, I'll try and revisit some of that. I do kind of expect you to trust us and I think myself and maybe ffery, if you are town, are having a hard time moving on with this game because you don't see that all of the emotions we're laying out are just 100% consistent with us being town. The only thing I can try is: remember my play from Tales. I don't waffle back and forth in a mire of self-hatred as scum. As scum I'm active, aggressive, and I ALWAYS have something I'm doing actively. Sitting back and being non-committal is something I would pretty much never do as scum and CERTAINLY not to this extreme. Its not something that happens all the time (or maybe even most of the time) to me as town, but if I'm acting like I have been its a symptom of me being confused town and hating every second of it.
