The one time i go into ranked, and the one time i get first pick and can go mid, one fuckwit has to fuck it up by saying his mid regardless of being fourth pick and doesn't care if there is 2 mid.

Thankfully it got better in a good way, got first pick again, went Jayce mid, 5/1/19.

And my first death was the first in lane, but i killed Ez with ignite ticks slightly after, so all my K/A were from after my death

I'm not, but given OCE's bronze "mid laners" i kinda have to be.

EDIT: I am perfectly aware my mid lane is quite bad, but there is less of an enemy fed mid laner when i am mid, and i have some champs that can be mid, that i can play somewhat proficiently

Jason, if you perform at an above Bronze level, you will get out of bronze. If you perform as a Bronze, you will stay there.

I'm aware, but at least in mid lane i have a better chance of carrying my team.

EDIT: Also question, what are decent picks against a talon?

anything that can zone really well or punish close-range effectively.
If you understand that you don't HAVE to last hit minions with Q, Annie does pretty good.
Otherwise Malz or Morg are also great.

Not to add fuel to the fire but Jayce would knock Talon's block off.

My two main midlaners are Morgana and Nidalee, both destroy Talon. The biggest trick with Talon is to know his Rake range and smother him with autos while dodging it. All standard melee mid rules apply, keep him on his back foot and too low to try an allin.

Morgana baby nerfs notwithstanding, she's still the best and safest midlaner in the game who does absurd teamfight damage and can initiate for your team. The numbers nerfs are just a standard "omg rito nerf pls" tap, until they fundamentally change how and when W deals damage she will remain extremely strong. (This is probably going to happen since she's a pick/ban support.)

Talon is like, a well-known counter to Nidalee.
Even post-rework.
I don't think you've met a good Talon if you think you can 'destroy' a Talon as Nidalee.
And if you think the only problem is Rake.

Yeah the main problem is the Silence then burst (the same reason LB was annoying as fuck)

Sounds like 1v1 ME BRO.

So i didn't even notice this at the time, but apparently i had a 51 minute game where i had 498 CS, 7 towers and 2 inhibs to my name (Was looking over my stats for the games i played tonight).

Actually managed to beat everyone in the game by over 200 CS.

Also had a pretty decent run with Jayce tonight in both top and mid (basically had a premade 3/4 so i just got whichever wasn't called)

Out of interest, wouldn't they all suffer the same problem of Talon getting his full combo off in their face before they can react and (probably) killing them?

I'll wait til BRO is on a comp and can tell me why it's a bad item on him because I'm actually curious.

My final build is usually like

CDR Boots, Bruta/BC, Last Whisper, Essence Reaver, Manamune, _______ depending on what I'm up against

Also why would you rush essence reaver if your building a tear anyway?

I don't even own Talon on my main and I can 'destroy' you easily.

Essence Reaver is underwhelming.

You run out of mana anyways when spamming poke because you don't reliably get the chance to autoattack waves during sieges.

And the mana return isn't really that big, either.
You're getting maximum 0.08 * 300 = 24 mana per AA.
IF you have 300 AD and are completely oom.

tbh because you have to AA for mana gain ER is more of a laning item but it's a) too expensive to buy early, b) wayyy too weak compared to other buys.

10% CDR seems significant for an AD caster but it really isn't compared to the other things you could be having.

Notably, armor pen.

Also, server kicked me from champion select. Twice.
Lost 13LP for doing nothing.
And I only get 11 per win -___________-
