Sixth, I have advised the other angel(s) to refrain from claiming until he/she/they have used their ability at least once or are about to be lynched. As the person stopping the lynch is public, there is no reason not to claim credit once it's been done.

I think he meant literally the act of SOMEONE stopping the lynch is public. Read myko's flavor. It says SOMEONE stepped in and stop the lynch. Why mention claiming credit at all if absolutely everything, including specifically who caused the lynch, was public in the first place?
