True, but you don't need to know how to play 10 champions to be successful in ranked.

I also stopped caring about what happens to my team comps in ranked because I'm convinced a lot of players just don't care (and a lot of the time my team can still dominate/win regardless).

Got my butt whooped in my first inhouse, sorry team.

At least I learned something! (Thanks Ray for chatting with me afterwards)

Also, I dunno if you (Panzer) can read this, but I'd appreciate it if you weren't a dick to friends I invite to inhauses to fill up spots. DatLamp is used to playing with myself and a bunch of RL friends who play *for fun* and I don't care if he just shrugged you off - in general people only want to be told they suck if what follows is helpful, positive advice about how to not suck... and even then they usually only appreciate this if they asked for it first.

Regardless of whether he was around or not, we've established (or I've decided, reading your bile in this thread) that you don't play for fun like I do... like some of my friends do. So don't impose your judgement and negativity on people who don't want or need it. I barely wanted to deal with you in this thread; why would he want to deal with your shit in a game he came to enjoy?

Akali vs. Yasuo for me now, should be an interesting lane.

I'm like 100% sure akali destroys that lane.

I probably should destroy that lane (I picked into it on purpose), but I play a little too scared of Yasuo and get bullied off the CS pre-6. I have trouble reading when yasuo can just triple Q Quad E at me and kill me vs. when it's safe to engage. Still, I went 1/0/0 in lane (the kill was on the jungler), got picked off a couple times to end up 4/7/4, but got a triple in the last teamfight to end 7/7/5.

Don't engage when he has his tornado, or at least don't trade with him when he has it. Let him waste it then smash his face in.

This is what I like to call the "Bronze Yasuo problem"

When I play him (in normals for fun, I suck at him so he's not for ranked for me), I feel like I never have tornado up to cast when I want it.

When I play against him, that damn thing has like a 1 second cooldown. Have another tornado, and another, and another!

Cause he gets it every 3rd Q or something. You either disengage briefly after you see him cast his second Q, to dodge the tornado, or try to juke the tornado or take it like a man and risk his ultimate. Yasuo can proc his Q a lot in a fight, try and juke him in fights to make him miss it. Keeping a distance also helps. He's an extremely strong champ in my opinion but can be managed if you know how to play against him.

This. I'll add that pre-6 his tornado isn't
ESSENTIAL
to dodge, it's mainly a harass / knockup and if you're not overextended and about to get ganked, it's not that big of a threat damage-wise or CC-wise. It
IS
a problem post-6, when he will always use it pre-ult. On a team with no other knockup, you will always want to dodge his tornado if you can, or at least get someplace where he won't feel safe ulting you after it hits, since 99% of the time he'll be using it to engage / teamfight with his ult.

You already know to watch for the wind currents coming out of him like a little Super Saiyan; I'd count the Q's too, like a countdown: 1 Q, 2 Q, tornado up, etc. rinse and repeat. Helps keep you aware of his CD on the Q as well, see if he's leveling it first (which he should
ALWAYS
be), etc. It does have a short CD (5-4 seconds), so a Yasuo that hits every Q for the procs and gets the tornado in 3 Q's every time... it's gonna be somewhere around 12-15 seconds each time he tornadoes (without counting CDR).

Also, I know people talk about baiting out his W (Wind Wall), but really I wouldn't overestimate his E as a gapcloser and disengage. I can tell you from playing (not to well) on him, and from having to face him when he's not banned, that if you can bait the E and engage on him before he has Q up, you can almost always force him out of the trade, maybe even the lane. If he all-ins and blows his E, he has no way out other than to run. If you baited the E early for his engage and can get out of range of everything he has while the mark is active, he has no real options for continuing the trade, IMO.

Hey dan what are your feelings about current lb? Still super strong in lane, or are you finding yourself aiming for roam more than lane pressure these days?

Recently I've been having some trouble killing my lane opponent, because without the silence successful trades are harder to pull off. Doable of course, but somewhat more difficult, especially against heroes like Talon, Kassidin, Syndra, Katerina, Ahri, and even Brand. As a result I am indeed finding myself roaming more, which is always a risky business where the payoff is minimal comparing the risk vs. reward.

I think Leblanc is still very much playable. DfG is still strong on her, and even without it leblanc can fair well, but her momentum in this meta tapers a bit faster than the snowball that was achievable earlier.

Also Zed is a pain in the ass to fight. One wrong move at any point in lane and he'll get an harass advantage that is almost impossible to curb.

Your friend started shit talking me dude, "I would have crushed my lane even if you didn't help me lee". I told him that wasn't true cause he is an awful fizz and I was actually ahead in cs and bullying him around lane until rayfrost and a bad jungler put me 2 levels behind. So hey man, judge me all you want, tell me I "spew bile" in thread(which is actually untrue), but I help more bad players than just about anyone else in that thread, oh and I'm boosting your friends account(a 200 dollar job) for fucking free for the fun of it. So hey, don't judge me, and definitely don't judge me in front of people in a forum that you know I can't respond to you like a little bitch.

I didn't notice that he started shit talking you, but what you quoted hardly necessitates the kind of response you gave to somebody you didn't even know. If it were a scummer I could at least accept the familiarity with which you accosted him, but he's a friend so I feel some kind of responsibility, I guess. I wasn't watching his lane, I don't know how his CS was or how much jungle help he needed, and I'm not trying to judge or accuse you too much.

When I said you "spew bile"... I was admittedly still pissed at my own failings in that last game, so I apologize. But quite honestly, even Jason (and others) saying the godawful stupid shit they say, about being OCE Bronze and sad about it --- even that doesn't require you to be a dick in the thread. You're not "help[ing] more bad players" by saying the things you say to people like Jason. You're just making more people want to put you on ignore and that to me is toxicity at its most pure. I know you're boosting *****, and yeah I'm sure he'll love having Victorious Morgana. It really is very nice of you to do it, but as you say it's fun for you. I dislike people who hold enjoyable volunteer work up on a pedestal; it's nice that you're doing it but in the end it just says that you like doing things you enjoy. It doesn't altogether impress me.

As to your last point, I thought I mentioned I'd be posting anything you sent to me here - I never intended for the dialogue I wanted to have to be private or anything, sorry if it came across that way. I'll continue posting the unedited stuff you respond with to the thread if you like. I'm still just mainly concerned with how people treat my friends when I try to involve them in a community full of people I like and respect. :]
