"Man, what happened to you? Why can't you just have a few?"
He said, "I would if I could, but it's probably best that I don't."
"I get loud...I get proud...and it worse"
Why is talking about third party Day 1 town?

When 5-off said there was scum in the 'hood, did anyone say that their role PM didn't mention anything about that? If so, who did so first?
You have just asked the right question! We all confirmed we had nothing of the sort, but Lissa said it first.
This is why she's town.

Vote: FourTrouble
Ok, so this vote on Four Trouble with no explanation, and following a single post by 4T where he drops a random vote himself, is entirely serious and grounded in evidence? Want to go into detail?

This is the kind of shit that we need to know about - it's not helping the town to withhold facts.

I'm not asking you to deconstruct the wagon. I'm asking you to deconstruct the argument that 4T is scum. I don't care what you think of the players who agree.

Meh, I was getting there. I said she reacted well to what could have been a reaction test by 5-Off. That's what I meant.

I more or less pointed out that your reasons for voting him were shit in my above post. It's not my job to show that he is town, just that he's not the scummiest option to vote. The burden of proof if on the 4t wagon and none of the cases are remotely convincing.

Because my scum pile is reserved for people I think are probably scum. I get a lot more results from reactions and actually experiencing the game than from reading through discussions post-hoc so I'm going to need some more time for more reads.

You said they were shit, yes. What you didn't say is why. I feel like it shouldn't be that hard to answer a simple question: why don't you find them convincing?

baboon - #298 and their vote seems like an indignation of FT's playing style, and not at all his alignment
lissa's vote was on FT since her first post, and later qualifies it with "I think out of the neighborhood Four is most likely to be scum. And I feel like Baboon is town. Will explain further later." Please explain - why is baboon town? Why is Four most likely scum?
This is the most motley collection of low-effort votes I've seen this week.
How many times do I have to quote this? Post #298 where you voted FT has no insight or reasoning for FT being scum. You criticized his playstyle for not being like yours, which isn't super towny to begin with. If I'm misinterpreting your vote, feel free to enumerate your case against him more clearly and concisely.

Well, it wasn't brilliantly grounded in evidence. It was grounded in the best evidence available at the time.
To whit: At the point where FT entered the game, non-random things were happening - there were actual issues in the game. FT appears and random votes, without commenting on anything. This indicates a lack of town motive versus the alternative scenario where they enter and in some way interact with what's happening in the game.

in anycase, I never said I liked Fonz post, but I can defintely see where he is coming from, and it is something I can expect another person of relative experience of this game to get. Especially on this site. Lissa's post can be construed in many ways, and it's more about what's not there, than what is there.
Since when do you suck up to me Mara? Why not Bork? (but seriously, hey, long time no see)
Damn this game is moving fast. Back after work.

How did you construe FT's vote as random?
Also thoughts on Flubber who entered the game somewhat similarly?

Good point, though not conclusive. Like I said, I'm reevaluating IHNC, especially given their competence is lower than I initially thought (for some reason, I always assume players in hydras are good, which isn't always the case).

I'm curious about this, too. If the vote was random, I would have just added it to the biggest wagon. The vote was not random.

that was in the first 45 posts of the game dude - there were players that still didn't have posts or votes down for pages after that, why are you trying so hard to justify what was clearly an effortless throwaway vote at the time on what was clearly an effortless throwaway vote?

This looks like a leading question with the implication that he should be in said scum pile

I was interested in Anatole's reasoning, since his scum pile consisted of people putting badly-reasoned votes on me, and Anatole's list of people putting badly-reasoned votes on me also included IHNC.
Also, wouldn't call the question leading. Leading would be, "shouldn't IHNC be in your scum pile?" or something like that.

Or rather: "You think IHNC is scum?" -- that would be leading.
