Draynth versus Harambey argument on lurking: Feel like Draynth comes out the better here and Harambey for the worse.

I did, yes. That doesn't help me understand you and it's not an explanation, it's just a blank statement and it doesn't really mean anything to me. Anyone can call any random post scummy and not explain why. This game is about determining alignment and if you are town then you should do things that mafia can't do or find hard to do, like actually explain things in ways that other people can understand.

@mod: Can we get a monday deadline to allow us replacements to interact a bit?
I know thats slightly longer than the 72 hours Ive seen given in my one other completed game here. I ask because I am generally v/la weekends, and 72 hours would put that smack in the middle of the deadline consensus forming etc.
I would normally only give another 48 hours, but I'm going to agree to a Monday deadline as I want to avoid ending on Sunday morning. Revised deadline is shown above. There will be no further extensions after that.

There is no point in explaining oneself when 1) Scum always have a way to refute it 2) Explanations generally focus on content (which is fine and all) rather than underlying motives 3) Townies get scumread when their honest explanations "aren't good enough". So, no, I'm not gonna explain further.
Pedit: Not a quote; I put it in code to preserve formatting among other things.
Pedit2: I only included that cuz the other thing didn't include that.

There is a 1v1 with Draynth and Harambey on page 8, I think it is was Ircher is referring to.

Btw, I don't know **
how many
** times I have seen transparent and honest townies get lynched whereas people of both alignments (town or scum) that simply lurk in the background or provide minimal reads generally get a freepass for several days until someone hones in on their lurking. And even then, "I scumread you because of your lack of presence in thread" says A to B. B then states "I don't even know why I am being scumread other than for not posting much. Activity is not alignment-indicative guys!!!" Then a wagon forms on A for "pushing B for inactivity". And don't tell me this doesn't happen; it happens
all
the time. Also, this has no relevance to the Harambey/Draynth interaction that I looked at earlier.

Um.
Are you real?
"I'm not going to play mafia because people could misunderstand me or scum could beat me."
I don't understand point 2 at all. Focusing on content is the same thing as focusing on underlying motives if that is what you want to do.
"I think X content is Y because the motives behind it make the most sense coming from Y for Z reasons" is an explanation about motives. At which point are motives divorced from the content, please?

Yes. Townies have been lynched for bad reasons therefore no one should try to project town ever anymore. This is flawless logic.

Reading the content = Reading semantics, looking for slips, other things that are overwhelmingly null
Reading the underlying motives = Looking at tone, at motives, at a bunch of other stuff that gets ignored (or at least, never mentioned beyond the occassional things like "That's an AtE post" which realy have no value)

Townies have been
consistently
lynched for their transparency, their honesty, and their humanity.
Gonna clarify that I mean surface-level semantics.

Is it logical? No, not really. But it is the way that things work here.

I'm not going to talk to you anymore because you are clearly not interested in helping me and because this line of argumentation from you is asinine and stupid and none of this helps anyone read us.

Doing one last general post while commuting on the gamestate, current discussion, and me and my schedule (akin to Nachos point)
On the gamestate, replacements just stink and I hope no more happen
Currently, Ircher is claiming to have reread. Thats is fair enough, and always a good thing to do. Even though I can see where she is coming from, it does seem to belie the professed disinterestedness AND the number of replacements
Regarding my schedule: I am a day worker with young kids. So I generally post during the day and maybe once at night if there is more to react to. Relatedly, as I said before, I am generally not on on the weekends since Im with the kids unless I have time for a catchup post at night.
On me in general - I am experienced with mafia, but relatively new to the site and only started playing again recently after a ten-year hiatus due to work. Long-winded posts tend to be my style because I am a compulsive procrastinator, but I have been working on that after getting some criticism for walls. Every completed game I have here is either VT or Town PR, so metaing me can give you a sense of my town-style, but I would try to have the same style regardless FWIW.
Thats is all for now since Im at my stop. Look forward to playing with everyone.

I understand not wanting to lynch him in general, but this doesn't really look anything like his open game. In the open game, ofrhz was active and engaged, he played a lot looser than he is here, generally seemed more inquisitive when pressing people. Of course, there are reasons why he could be playing this way as town, but I really don't get two people coming out and declaring him obvious town due to meta.
Does reading Open 721 changed anything from your initial read 240?
