Just to set the record straight, I didn't push NMSA as a read until after he posted. I called him an ideal candidate for an rvs wagon because I think he is likely to respond to early pressure poorly as scum, but likely to respond to early pressure well as town (see newbie 1917)

oh i reskimmed the first three pages; at the time i was more focused on enter than anything else but yeah the reason why tictac's vote bothered me is that i can see it as early-scum distancing on a wagon that's building on a partner that they imagine might dissipate before it goes anywhere dangerous; it's a safe-seeming way to distance at that stage

i'm not saying it *is* this; i'm saying that it's the sort of vote that i've seen scum make before so if someone *is* bussing on that wagon that's where i'd probe further

@Enter At no point was my read on NMSA a joke, or rvs read. I came into this game fairly confident that I could read NMSA off of his opening posts, and I believe I have done so.

This just makes it worse for me, IMO

I really don't like this. You said that you thought my push looked like a bus because I started it as a joke push - though there was nothing in my iso to suggest I was ever not serious.

Then when I say that I was serious, that's worse because it's a TMI read.

But you're very clearly scum reading NMSA. He doesn't have that many posts, so you're scum reading him for the same posts I am. What would cause you to think it's a TMI read?

I think you've decided that I need to be a scum read, and are simply looking for reasons to back it up.

i don't think i'm sheeping reck; if anything i'm wary about it being the other way around (or, at least, reck amplifying what i was saying to push enter for possibly nefarious purposes)

basically i'm trying to gauge how other people are reading reck rn because i'm having trouble reading him, and my starting point for that is comparing how people responded to my push on enter to people's response to reck's push on enter

i guess my point is less about why *i'm* getting townread and more about why people are conflicted on *reck*

One thing I will mention just from skimming the discussion from my last post is that I'm very wary of how homogeneous everyone's reads appear to be so far. This is a pretty big sign that scum are okay with what is currently happening in the thread and that the game is going in a direction that they believe is favorable to them. Keep that in mind.

More like I wanted there to be a wagon.
urap2 was calling for a wagon while under minor pressure, so I wanted to see if he'd do something with the wagon if he got his wish or if he was merely deflecting pressure.

Didn't expect to develop an actual scumread there, and it's kinda inconvenient, because single-wagon static gamestate doesn't help me in developing reads on more inactive players.

I'm not too concerned with the speed of the wagon, but the lack of a viable counter is concerning. I think the ate from spam might mean he's not a resigned-to-his-fate-scum, so I'd expect some attempt at a counterwagon. Then again they might be going for the 'wait it out' strat?

I agree with taking this kinda slow. At minimum I want to hear more from Angel, Nimueh, Chara and Branson, before lynching.
Reck should also say something that isn't about Enter.
