I want Skybird hammered because it's a really opportunistic claim for someone who hasn't done anything to support it. And it doesn't excuse the play still; you can lay low and still speak out against the lynches of your townreads. like wtf her play is not town

I'm not unvoting her, I'm just fishing for bites on my other scumreads.

I have this horrible sinking suspicion that Mala and Cakez are both going to be alive at the end of the game and there's nothing I can do about it.

I'm looking to justify my Skybird read this way in fact.

I'm town reading Ranger. I'm not going to vote them. What about this is going to help you sort me?

Skybird wrote:Darn, I just knew my town reads on Ranger and Tammy were correct.

I need to look at tictac before I vote there. I didn't really pay much attention to him yesterday.

Skybird's posts immediately before and after the Ranger lynch.

you guys...

Marquis wrote:Like if you're townreading someone and you're town, you want to stop them from being lynched or at least make a push somewhere else. Skybird's done none of that; she just said Ranger was town to her which obviously did nothing for anyone and effectively stayed quiet about the lynch and other lynch options.

Her play here looks like it's all based on getting her positioning right, not getting on the Ranger wagon but she has no real investment in any other vote because Ranger was going to end up the mislynch anyway. And now as expected she's using this to be able to say "but you guys I didn't want the mislynch". Well, saying it and acting on it are two different things. What Skybird's done here with Ranger is par for the course for a player this much more experienced with town than scum - I'm holding her towngame to a much higher standard than this, but not her scumgame.

She was also townreading Spiffeh just as much as Tammy yet chose not to mention his death.

like, this still stands independent of her role claim and usage.

and #2369 still reads really "eh" as a first-post-into-Day-2

My problem with Mala has a great deal of how much time she wasted arguing pointlessly with Tammy. She had limited time to play, and spent most of it in a nothing conversation. Unless that argument was WAY more passive-aggressive then I read it neither of them were even actually mad at each other.

Is this a part of her town meta?

lol yes

mala can get fixated on the smallest or weirdest things as town

she's one of those players where sometimes it doesn't feel like you're playing the same game but it's probably because she's town. it's not due to any inability to play well or something, but as scum she usually feels more pressure to be your, well, Typical Town PlayerTM

Hrm, I'll take your word for it on that I guess. My problem with her is mostly based on her attitude in that conversation. I actually think Goodmorning was making pretty good posts.

This. Why do people keep saying she is?

Mirhawk wrote:But the only one she ever did was Snarky of all people. He had like three posts. What was she expecting to find? Why ask him a question, he was never going to answer. She asked him for reasoning on his very first post too, that question couldn't have been more pointless. "Hey Snarky, I know you're not here and probably aren't reading the game. But when you do show up can you please explain this post you made on page four"?

I can see town with no reads deciding to read some iso's to get some. But the only one she did was the most useless player in the game. Even if you had limited time, why only do someone who will yield nothing?
This is a good point.

Skybird wrote:I was trying to lay low on D1 because of my role. I wanted to make sure I got a chance to use it. I was town-hunting looking to make sure I targeted town with my king-maker shot. So Mirhawk you are correct that I really didn't have any scum reads D1. I really wasn't looking for them. But I couldn't say that because you guys would have flash-lynched me. I also didn't want to say anything that would make scum think I had a super PR and was worth a NK.
Townhunting is as valid as scumhunting. It's what itlepip is doing with his town circle thing. Not sure why you'd expect to be lynched for doing that. Didn't see much reaching out to townreads and working together with them from you, though.

I QUESTION THIS STATEMENT

What's to question?

Largest days in a Large Game
# Game Day Posts Notes
1 Fire Emblem: Awakening Mafia. Day 1 4198

I thought it was fun :)

Pretty sure it was the largest game for a bit too.

WERE YOU IN IT? O.O

I was not, but I don't want my Largest Game record contested! :P

I just read a plot summary. I'm not understanding how the flavor could correspond to "giving someone power." Oscar Jaffee is a failed writer for live theater. He comes up with a great idea for a play, then plots to trick a great actress into being the lead, and ultimately they fall in love when she sees through the ruse.

It's possible I'm missing some of that plot, but I failed to see any correlation between the flavor and the role. That doesn't necessarily mean it's impossible, I'm just saying that as far as I can tell, the flavor doesn't add up to the role. The lovers and hated made a lot of flavorful sense, so I think it'd be weird if this one didn't make any.

Posting from phone. Travelling.
I think sky is on the level. Can we not lynch town please?
I've been scumread by town!cakez in the past and this really isn't it. He was way more focused on me then. This cakez only pushes me when i point out he looks bad not doing so. He actually seem to care aboit getting me or mir lynched at all and jumps targets to whomever looks pushable at the moment, when it looks lile he isn't getting traction on his current push. I get that people are wary cause meta and i was too, but i really think he's just scum here.
Would alsi happily lynch marqus for reasons I've been over and think there's a good associve there from the sky push.
Pedit ogre, pist do yor flavours connect to the role?

Eh, I looked it up, and the character is a theatre "Producer", who at least in the past had made someone into a star. So I can see the flavor from that angle.

My issue is there's absolutely no way to prove this is really Skybird's role at this point since she conveniently used it up on someone who died.

You missed a few things in the plot summary. Oscar and the actress (can't remember the character name) worked together before when he talked her into taking a lead role in his production. He made her a star. Then they went their separate ways and Oscar's career nose dived while the actress continued to be great. After his last flop in Chicago, he boards a train (The Twentieth Century) to go back to New York. The actress is either already on board or gets on board shortly after he does. The rest of the play is trying to get her to star in his next production, except that he doesn't have a script for it yet.

My biggest issue with getting lynched today is the fact that once again Marquis is tunneling the heck out of me and will end up mislynching me again.

Lynches don't happen because one person says so.
