I understand your perspective, but I disagree with you, especially in the current case, because the act of agreeing with the gravitas player empirically produces an anti-town effect.

I solemnly swear that I have had a similar conversations with other players as town at other times on the site. I think it was maybe ABR in like 2012, but I'm not sure.

Oddly, from 2009-2011, my playstyle was considered completely transparently town.

Tbone's defending sounds like apathetic town who comes and sees what he considers a clown and a person he likes fighting, so he supports the person he likes. I am not seeing ill intent in it.
