Ironically... had I counterclaimed Not_Mafia-scum in Marked For Death and speedlynched him, we'd probably have won. I just assumed it was a legit reaction test.

Similarly, had Not_Mafia counterclaimed Firebringer here and speedlynched him, same story. But everyone assumed it was a legit reaction test.

Townsidedness was overall useless with bad vigshots, cop kill, and watcher never getting info and never outing. PRs didn't get the chance to do anything.

I really don't mean to be a debby downer but town undoubtedly lost this game more than scum won it (yes, I acknowledge I was part of the problem). We started with a poorly advised lynch on lynch bait. My lynch was absurdly bad and the ultimatum, as I've previously covered, is EXTREMELY ANTI-TOWN. The results of that ultimatum were exactly what you would expect. We also had a town PR kill another PR.

Flubber basically lurked through the game, and serg flaked out giving the slot basically a free pass on 90% of the massive thread (which was massive because it was inflated artificially). And you, sheep, I had pegged mid D1.

Town, myself included, lost this game. Hard.

Honestly Remslot should have been conftown the moment D2 ended. Probably wouldn't have been enough to turn the game around but it would have at least focused the conversation around finding scum instead of why MD is not scum.


Pedit - oh right you reminded me.. fire was serg's replacement.. now that game is over could anyone please explain why serg was getting a free pass for doing jackshit? Like is it inline with his town meta or something?

I don't think town should ever walk away from a lynch with the mindset of "Meh, no regrets, they were scummy as shit". I mean there are some occasions where I'd lynch someone regardless of their alignment just on the 3/13 chance they're scum, but early lurking UCV is not one of them.

Town's job before LyLo is first and foremost to be right, and only secondary to not get themselves lynched.

I was wrong and I paid for that. Never had to solve a 3/8 MyLo before. Odds were stacked against me given that inexperience, but I'll be better at it next time.

Like I get that it's easy to say this in hindsight but D1 lurk-lynch is almost always the wrong call, and that should've been clear to everyone involved with it.

The way the Seph thing was handled was abjectly horrible. Telling Seph "I'm going to fuck over town by claiming if you don't let us lynch you" puts Seph in a horrible position, and hilariously he basically played into your hands by self-hammering to avoid that claim fucking town.

I never thought Seph was actually scum during spectation. Then again, I also thought Hopkirk was scum while spectating, so fuck me right?

You learn and get better.

And you save the policy lynch candidates for the vigs.

I mean remember that scum hammered the UCV lynch in, I think it was a perfectly fine way to force content out of UCV that needed to be evaluated. How can you sort a gamestate if you don’t have content from every slot? Serg only got a free pass from me because of the nature of D2/the D1 hammer. He probably would have been the next wagon if he kept being useless even though an air headed part of me thought he was townier than contentless!UCV.

After all, if lurker wagons are a bad thing D1, when else are you supposed to get info out of them?

I do agree though it was my fault for not pushing a serg vig, that probably would have been a better call (I was thinking of pushing UCV as a vig but that’d defeat the purpose of wagonning)

Fire also played well - Flubber picking the moz kill also basically locked a scumwin in since that’s what convinced me to townread flubb and tunnel hop harder
