EBWODP: Blah, that didnt come out as clear as I meant it. You say "Im assuming is intended for pressure" which makes it sound like Im coming at you from a town mindset, but it "looks like" a scum mindset, even though you know it isn't (because, you know, you are scum and know Im town).

I'm not comfortable lynching claimed JOATs toDay. I also think flavor/setup speculation is a waste of time without flips.

UNVOTE:

I... don't actually know who I want to vote for right now. Brb reread.

Apparently you're not the only one who townreads Rach.

She's not getting lynched.

Asking me what I think of the game as far as I can see doesn't actually give anyone any helpful information. It's much too broad to guarantee anything concrete will come out of it, and if you want me to explain reads on people I'd rather you have asked specifically instead of just pushing me to give reads on everyone just for the sake of it. Like posting for the sake of posting- is talking often just to show you're open and amiable to talk something that town and scum should consistently do? I don't think so.

When I said "intended for pressure", it's what it looked like. I think you're scum because you put a vote on me which tried to scream "I'm town and I'm going to pressure vote him for lurking".

Syry implying that she absolutely has to vote someone even if she doesn't know now strikes me as off. I've done it as town before but I just don't like it. I also don't like my hypocrisy here and how my analysis of that is probably going to result in nothing of consequence.

:? If you find yourself writing this, it's a sign that the thing you wrote just before it probably shouldn't be posted.

Going to have a check-over a little later this afternoon and decide where I want my vote to be.

I'd vote for LnGrrrR or Marquis, but I want to think more about it. If we're not touching the JOAT claims yet, that stands a decent chance of eating up our margin of error, which makes it more important to lynch right here.

Sorry, was busy yesterday and did not get on.

Also not comfortable with cutting out 2 questionable outs under vote pressure when there's only 13 in the game.

But it's day 1, and we need to do something.

VOTE: marquis

still don't much like JW's play and have my doubts about ffery and syry.

The role PMs in Nexus's philosopher's stone game were a bit unusual. http://forum.mafiascum.net/viewtopic.ph ... 3#p5126063

The wierdest one was peeves as the the vanilla cop because despite him causing chaos, hogwarts is his home and he wants to protect it. The protection part is not true but peeves makes sense as vanilla cop because he is always snooping around. I am a little undecided on the Colin Creevey claim but between Creevey and Filch, I find it much more likely Filch is the JOAT considering he helps out a lot with miscellaneous stuff. I'll think on it though.

Near the deadline of Day 1, pressure voting is anti-town and also this:

Image

It's distancing from your own vote. It's awful bad terrible.

Re: Marquis, because of genuine tone. Also, mostly unrelated, but not one person has brought up a valid point about why he is scum.

@Amrun, explain how it is "distancing" from my vote when Marquis replaced Squilly, who I was voting for since near the beginning of day? You know, kinda like how you have been voting me since the beginning of day. As far as "not one valid point", Squilly's votes were horrible. And it is hard to bring up "points" against someone when they don't say a whole lot other than "Rach is scum" and throw out an OMGUS vote.

Genuine tone, my ass. You wouldn't know "genuine tone" if it walked up to you, said "Hello my name is Genuine Tone, nice to meet you," and then handed you his business card.

@Marquis, I didn't ask you that question; I asked Ffery. Why did you try to answer for her?

Posted: Fri Sep 06, 2013 6:20 pm
by Amrun
How would you know if I would know genuine tone...? We haven't played together before, and you wouldn't know if I was right or wrong unless you were scum.

It's distancing from your own vote by downgrading it from a real you're-scum-so-you-should-die vote to a "pressure" vote. You also said earlier it was only because of "bad play," which you find scummy for really horrible reasons. Your stance on Squilly was never strong either and has the commonality of you always going for the lowest common denominator.

@Amrun, because all game you have been calling me scum, and Im town, so that's a RATHER OBVIOUS INDICATOR for me. Sheesh.

And you are misrepping my vote anyways. Please show me where I said it was for pressure only, and/or that I don't find the Marquis slot anyways. If you really think Marquis is town, then point out posts he has made that are similar to other games he was town. Marquis hasn't done anything towny in my eyes, and you're saying his "tone is genuine" certainly isn't enough to clear him for me.

Let me out it this way Amrun: You are spectacularly, flat out wrong about me and my alignment. So why should I trust your "gut" when it comes to Marquis?
