It was a gut read. I mean I read and I thought it was scummy cause of something that rubbed me the wrong way. I don't remember what exactly.

For the sake of content i remember having the following reads:

Mastin: Very lightly scum
Toog: Semi Town
Zdenek:Town
Vezok: Scum
Majiffy: Prob Scum
Nero Cain- Looks townish
Rubicon- Prob Scum
Sven- Slightly scum

The rest im still reading and don't have clear ideas about em. Also its a big game and hard to notice everyone.

hush, you.

I would like to talk to you about your mastin read sometime.

The only time he's ever unequivocally called me scum in a game was late day 1 of Buzzword Bingo.

Game's here: http://forum.mafiascum.net/viewtopic.php?f=84&t=28645. AP was the mod. With the exception of about 5 pages, that thread is all day 1.

It's not so much a point as it is an amorphous feeling. I don't think I can explain it right now. Yesterday's complete failure to communicate where I was coming from regarding svenskt's wagon suggests I'm expecting my conclusions to be obvious when they're anything but. And, either I'm not synching at all with my town reads this time, or I'm wrong about some reads.

AP is a read I don't think I have wrong. So are you, but we tend not to see the game from similar perspectives (see our reads divergence in the Dr. Who game).

Mastin's rather determined misread of me worries me a little.

You failed to communicate about the Sven wagon because you didn't have anything relevant to say about it.

Calling it a "lazy wagon" doesn't make Sven any more likely town or scum (you admitted as much) and you also admitted that the wagoners hadn't had a chance to interact with Sven yet because of his activity.

You also said the wagoners were all mostly independently townreads. Complaining about the wagon on Sven yet not really proposing an alternative or analyzing the individual votes is...?

IF you think Sven is town (apparently you thought he was a little bit), then why are you calling his wagon lazy and not being direct about calling him town or CWing him.

---

Mastin isn't doing what you are hinting at though? She -apparently- is suspicious of everyone townreading her because of the silly reaction test. You gave a snooty answer back when she said in response to which, she voted you (go figure!). Then you later made a town case on her which she also rejected as being mostly null, but moved on to voting people that aren't you anyways.

Soooo, Im really not seeing where you are coming from, like at all, this game ffery. Its worrisome.

Maybe not.

That still won't change your stance on the Sven wagon being a lot of posturing to no relevant conclusion.

I called you a town read yesterday. And my interactions with you have yelled "you're town" in my behavioral vocabulary since pretty early on.

And I think my last posts from yesterday did a decent job of clarifying my position on the svenskt wagon. I think his posts since returning have looked better and more town-svenskt than what he left in the thread earlier. I think his wagon is/was town-driven. The only player on the wagon I don't have some degree of townread on is Alpazard.

I thought my mastin read was fairly clear?

Mastin is intentionally obfuscating emotions / content by being willfully scummy. This is anti-town at best, potentially scum motivated, and not allowed to live beyond D3 unless somehow confirmed.

@Sven: Undecided. You wagon composition was weird to me. Im doubting you/ffery are on a team at least..I think. Im also doubting Vezok/mastin are on a team to a degree.

I don't really remember my posting that well from yesterday, but in essence, I'll be keeping some of the new me but not all of it and will be doing a little more normal Mastin stuff. (I also remember explaining my stances some more, and addressing a few players. Zdenek, Aegor, and one or two others. [You probably among them.] As the Tierce post says, I can try to recreate that stuff for ya, but it'll be an extremely faulty memory and highly inaccurate*.)

I think I'd prefer to wait until we've got the posts back in order to do so, though.

*This is actually something I consider to be a strength in my games, by the way. A darned pain because if I need to remember my reasoning for something and I never gave it, I can't. So people inquiring about my earlier posting are often left just as frustrated about my lack of reasoning as I am, because legitimately have no clue what an earlier-me is thinking in any game I play. (Which was one of my motivating factors in choosing my strategy this game, by the way.) I can guess, though. And that's strength number one. By not knowing my own reasoning and guessing, I can often create a new, stronger reasoning than whatever weak reasoning I had originally possessed.

Strength number two is that because I have an extremely short memory capacity, my reads are always fresh. It helps keep me having a new perspective consistently on the game. It also serves to help my scum-game, too, because while the memory loss is inconvenient for me forming long-term plans (mind you, any plan I'd have trouble remembering as scum is something I'd concoct in my head--QT plans, I never forget), it also increases my ability to fake whimsy. A scum-me is fairly calculating and always has a plan, always doing things for a purpose. But specifically because I don't always remember what my purpose was, I can shift my trajectory fairly convincingly mid-way through a day, and typically, nobody bats an eye at it. (Or if they do, quickly write it off as a towntell.)
