You know fuck all if you are town, and yes I did take a deep breath in the middle of writing the post, check me out outside of a newbie after you post what you think mafia should do in a given situation and you'll see the difference.

The reason why I asked, a question I already answered (hint read the thread, by your own logic you would be scum), is that at the time I did not give much credence to SB's post as I had him as a scum-read, now that I suspect that was a genuine read and something that I did not consider at the time I want to know more in detail why he felt that way and if I can rely on his TC read at the time or if he changed his mind.

If I know that both SB and TC are town there are certain players that become much more suspect and I need to re-read everyone's ISO's because I am clearly not on the right track, if I don't then my current reads may still be applicable with the exception of SB.

You are telling me you don't see a conflict of interests of you asking SB to confirm he indeed did think that TC was not scum? Why do you need him to confirm the read was genuine? Seems quite obvious to me given that he is most likely confirmed-town. Why would you expect a different answer?

His posts are incredibly manufactured. You should have pushed me harder on analyzing Gideon closer, Copper.

Gideon completely ignores a question posed by TownCop. In post 205, Gideon puts an accusation on TownCop. I think it's pretty clear that in this post, Gideon accidentally used 'TownCop' when he meant 'Toto', but the problem is that he doesn't defend himself and say that later. A town has nothing to lose, they just tell the truth 'I messed the names up' and move on. Gideon, as scum, is scared to respond at all and instead just ignores it and hopes it will go away. It didn't. He wraps it all up with a general statement that can be taken as truth.
'Still, all I know is that I'm town and somebody here isn't.'

In post 323 he appeals to Spyre's Gideon blinders directly, trying to put thoughts directly into his head. A town wouldn't be anywhere near as worried about what one player thinks of him, It reads to me like a scum clinging onto one of his more definite town readers.
Spyre, I know I'm not Copper, but I absolutely think you have your Gideon blinders on.

My read of Copper is still town, although I am starting to reread his recent posts. I do follow copper's reasoning about 367 - it is perfectly reasonable. Something natural to do, especially after a pr claim, is to ask for clarifications of posts made by the clear that may not have been previously explained well.

My read of Gideon still stands until he posts meaningful content.

Something is not adding up for me.

I would put Spyre high in the list of hypothetical Gideon's associates since he has been defending him a lot. So that's why I get conflicting reads for him. I don't see how else scum!Spyre could have protected Gideon if he happened to be newb!scum. He could have bused him but he also expressed that this was not a good strategy for Scum at this point. So if spy+Gideon are the scum team as initially suspected Spy's behavior seems consistent with that to me.

What I don't understand about this, and Gideon's case in general, is that most people seem to be reading Spyre as town and Gideon as scum. So clearly I must be missing something important here. Look at HS's last post. It basically presumes that Spy is town while at the same time saying Gideon is Scum.

1) Why did you say towncop was ‘throwing accusations when in fact he was only accusing YOU?
2) How do you reconcile that ' seem to have come from Toto and ' and next you say 'Before TownCop was accused, he was rather quiet and uninterested in scum hunting'. So he was throwing accusations everywhere, but at the same time he was uninterested in scumhunting?
3) How long have you been playing mafia and where?

If it comes to it, I believe we should ask for a small extension to cover up Jason's replacement and Frank's small hurricane issues.

I doubt spyre would interact with Gideon in the way he has been if they were both scum.
Spyre isn't definitely town, but he's not a good lynch right now.

And then he posts more... Oh boy.

I feel like Toto's posts are too confusing to be of any use to us. I don't think Gideon should be held accountable for anything Toto's said, because it's so difficult to even understand what he's saying.
