I more or less agreed with Loafers on this one, although I have second thoughts about Ircher now, after "meta"-ing NM. (& my reasons were different, but w/e.)

Anyhow, I've "meta"-d NM, which means that I looked for a finished game of his in which he was scum, then a game before that in which he was town. Enter Open 808 & Open 725. In the former he gets down to the nitty-gritty of the game, pieces of content after pieces of content. In the former he's bouncy & intangible, the way I remember him from the two games I played with him previously. He's more like the former now, ie. more like when he was scum.

I explained my Quick townread before. I haven't posted that much, you should have no problem finding it. Conftown might be a bit strong, but I see no point in considering him being scum right now.

Okay, here is my issue with Quick.

For like 80% of day 1, Quick does nearly nothing except ask "Why aren't we policy lynching Not_Mafia". While trying to policy lynch a player is not generally by itself alignment-indicative, the continued focus there (especially at the exclusion of all else) reads to me as scum that are trying to look like they are doing stuff when they really aren't.

The other thing is how Quick is basically calling the worst out for an "inconsistency" when earlier, Quick heavily argued that being inconsistent isn't scummy. So how is what the worst is saying here any worse than Quick's earlier inconsistency in the game, and why should Quick get a pass whereas the worst should not?

I can kinda see a world where Quick is town honestly. I feel like scum!him would be slower paced? like less eager to leap into glorious hypocricy

but if ircher and quick are both town the scumteam is like {NM, Gosrir, Skygazer} by PoE and I'm not sure that team holds much synergy. it just feels like the 3 most lynchable people itt which means I'm probably wrong somewhere

Surely that has changed somewhat. I don’t think active can be used to describe gosrir in any sense of the word, and the other stuff is kind of meh considering gosrir just admitted he’s coasting

From what I can tell, he's been posting pretty regularly even if he isn't posting constantly. (He posts at least once or twice each day, which is generally more than enough.) Furthermore, when he does post, he's actively taking stances and elaborating on them. He may be coasting, but he is clearly present in the thread and articulating his thoughts which I think is more likely to come from town.

ofrhz keeps saying I am Town but IIRC they are not really pushing anyone - at least not very hard. Their vote is on Gosir. I think it's pretty clear those two are not teamed. I have a Town Lean on Gosrir atm so don't really want to lynch there.

Basically the case on Gosrir is that he is pushing NM. That's pretty much it. I feel like that's not Scummy anyways. BTW where is NM? Nowhere to be seen. Besides that, not really seeing anything Scummy from Gosrir. I have the feeling that the reason people are pushing Gosrir for pushing NM is because I said NM is not readable, which would mean Duck is Scum since he would be pushing the Narrative that NM is unreadable until late in the game. Otherwise, not really seeing Duck actually trying to sort NM.

Have many people given a reads list this game? Why ask this when other people are not really doing it? I don't really feel comfortable providing a Reads List at this point in time. Still trying to feel things out for the most part. My perspective on how to approach a game, in general, has changed a lot since I played in the MC this year. Don't feel as inclined to force content that I did before.

That's pretty much my point with wanting to PL NM. Without flips, he's unreadable making his play Anti-Town because he doesn't actually produce much content for the game. If he was unreadable and DID produce content for the game, that would be one thing, but he doesn't.
