VOTE: Gamma Emerald
why would you.. vote someone you dont think is scum
can you talk about why you would think soemone who feels like dead weight to you is villager instead of scum?

meh lolwagons iso is actually decent; idrk how i missed so much of his posting
i kinda like his early interaction with mewtaph it feels like how i react to getting a scumread in thread most of the time as villager

I voted for Gamma Emerald because I wanted to hear more from him.
I think he's town because I don't think scum wouldn't behave like the way he is. Of course it could be WIFOM though...

The discussion between my three town reads feels very townie while my two scum reads feels like they're participating in the discussion but aren't getting to involved and are letting my three town reads do most of the discussing.
ok i actually think this take is really pure

I suppose I was assuming perfect play when I stated how easily this enables mafia to sell their townie-ness, which is an error on my part considering what the game is. I appreciate the pursuing of early thought processes to try and progress the game, but I can't say I'm sold on this particular process.
The question is just kinda empty? Maybe I'll see it when we get an answer but there's only so many ways to answer "how do you win as town" and they don't reveal much.
I want to hear how they think town should approach achieving their win condition because I think it'll help me discern whether that vote was one of complexity (an actual reflexive action against votes on them) or on a less serious note.
I agree with the rest of your reasoning but I still think this ^^ was stupid.
Also, can you guys explain your Mewtaph votes? Despite my reservations about his methods he's willing to push the game forward and is one of the few players to post literally anything of value so far. I'm feeling town
Towny
In particular, the bolded feels very nuanced

I like the early pushes from mew.
15 may have seemed a bit nitpicky, but with limited information in early game, you need to make a mountain out of a molehill to create content and push the game out of RVS.
This read is reinforced with

@Sheepsaysmeep: I think in general you are clearing people too easily and sometimes for the wrong reasons (eg. what makes Trekkie's "The discussion between my three town reads feels very townie while my two scum reads feels like they're participating in the discussion but aren't getting too involved and are letting my three town reads do most of the discussion." town indicative). I think it is a somewhat accurate sentiment to note that the game is mostly town controlled and to note that when considering reads, but including post counts in your read lists feels over the top to the point where it lacks utility (scum could just inflate their number of posts and you will be more receptive to town reading them).
@podopoq: Who do you want lynched D1 at this point? Your last post sequence spurt with LolWagons was somewhat directionless, so I kind of want to know where your head is at, outside of that interaction.

I’m okay with pod’s explanation of how vote, unvote, and then vote on Mew. I think it’s reasonable to not want to put someone at L-1 early on.
Not following mew’s vote onto him though

mew seems eager for real-time interactions here, which I wouldn’t expect to come from scum!Mew because Mew hasnt rolled scum in well over a year.

If you read the exchange you see Xtoxm initiated the discussion about his alignment and asked mbaki what he thought. How does mbaki answering "Scum, I would guess." come close to looking like "he was taking an actual interest in the meta information that could be gained?"
Using something that didn't actually happen to support the reason you cherry-picked this interaction does look like revisionist history, because it's not just you mixing up who said what, it's you mixing up the whole chain of events and thinking it means something it doesn't.
Would scum openly misrep something so easy to just go back and check? Like, there's no way scum Gamma is intentionally misrepping this, knowing it takes 10 seconds to find out that it's not accurate. Using this as justification that Gamme is scum rather than he just mixed things up seems like a leap.

So do you think Gamma Emerald is posting good, townie thoughts?
Hmm, I don’t think pod said gamma was posting good, townie thoughts anywhere?
I am not Dannflor and my gripe with Gamma Emerald is that his full iso is nothing, calling someone else out who's doing nothing, even though that someone did something, finding a weird way to push them on something outright false, said thing gets proven false, and Gamma doubles down and says that's even scummier!
This is not a townie thought process.
And now, one person has explicitly agreed with me and another has called Gamma Emerald's posting scumposting, but Gamma's vote remains despite it being disapproved by multiple people.
This is after Gamma chose only to comment on the not relevant thing in the first place. He still has not answered why he questioned myself over Xtoxm either even though
Xtoxm is the one who started the "scummy" tangent
.
The bolded is a fallacy and kind of appeals to the majority, e.g. “Other people think this as well, so why don’t you?”

does this thought you have influence your read on me or are you just trying to discredit my reads
first of all im not clearing anyone?
that trekkie read is just detailed and unique to a poitn where idt it was made up but like thats one post and barely impactful on my overall read
scum can inflate their posts after i said that, but i was generally townreading the people with higher postcounts because i felt that at that point in time the game was controlled by town and idk whats wrong with those reasons

I think it's reasonable for scum to fake nuance, and may even overdo it to see like they put a lot of thought into their reads,
