oh, i remembered now: prior to all the voting discussion, i had an issue with your process for reading between me and datisi

the idea being you looked at our day 1 play through the framework of "whose actions make more sense as scum". my issue with this is that is you can look at almost anyone's play as making sense coming from scum if you squint hard enough. that is not going to help you come to an answer, especially when imo the differences are so slight. you need to actually assess peoples actions in the game and whether they make sense as coming from a town motivation or ont. you cant just say "this person looks more like they were advancing the scum wincon". a player can push all townies and be town, a player can only push on scum and still be scum. so to me anyway it seemed like you were more intent on seeing whose play you could fit into a narrative rather than assessing whose actions/reasoning were more believable.

you might say that is basically what i was doing to you and that might be the case. i hardly claim to be perfect in my thinking

I don't have any trouble convincing myself that any individual post from either of you could come from town. That's why I took the approach that I did, and looked for what could be motivated by being scum.

I don't really know if I would be able to convince you that I'm town if you're town, and if you're scum then you were probably always planning to vote me here anyway.

Going to be honest, I feel incredibly dumb for not even considering that until now.

I was focused on thinking about how it would affect my read on him, and not on the fact that if he's scum, you're town, and ensuring that you vote me is perhaps actually the most important thing for making sure that he wins.

why do you think that is my path to victory as scum?

because you've just spent the past few days arguing how you cannot see me be scum, while scamper is consistently growing more suspicious of me

You claimed well before today. I don't see how the way that today has played out is relevant to what you would choose to claim. I think that at the time you made the claim, that would be the path that you would predict.

1) of me and scamper, at the time you claimed, scamper was much more tunneled on me than I was on him. I don't think I had really expressed much of a leaning. At the time I kind of still believed that I would be cleared as town from the way I played the claim, but it's very possible that you thought scamper would respond differently. I do think that you may feel it necessary to fill the power vacuum left by me being scum in order to make sure that world continues to make sense to scamper.

2) it feels like so far in yeetlo you have mostly been waiting for one of us to vote each other, so yes, more or less. I also was... really surprised when you said you were leaning towards me, since I didn't think that matched the progression you had to that point. But I think that as scum, that would benefit you more.
