Hold on, let me translate pops for the rest of you.

Hey, SCUMBUDDY! Looks like Jersey is giving us an opening to try to get him lynched. This is great! Now we dont have to waste a NK on him and can focus on getting him out tomorrow!

Pops, I WELCOME an investigation. I just wonder why you wouldn't agree with me and give yourself the opportunity to clear your already sullied reputation.

Jersey, why are you continuing to try and convince people that I am lying? The implication of saying this is that you are still trying to push that Barros is the real cop and that I'm not. But we've hammered. The truth about Barros's terrible counterclaim is imminent. And there's nothing that you can do about it. What do you expect to gain here?

"Hey everybody, I swear Pops and Mora are scum! I welcome investigation! If I'm wrong, may the skies open up and votes rain upon me!"
<Mod posts Day results, Barros flips scum>
<everyone votes Jersey>

Why do this now? Terrible, terrible play. Whether you are town or scum.

Since he hasn't flipped anything yet, I still have to go by my assumption that he is TOWN. If he IS town, then you WERE lying. No matter what happens, the sun comes up tomorrow. Scum still has to be rooted out and removed, and if I'm right about Barros, then you and pops are suspects A1 and A2. I don't see planning for tomorrow as bad play at all. Of course, if Barros flips scum, then of course, I will redirect my energies.

Strawman. There's a big problem with pursuing a case if we're in twilight. You are taking a risk that you are correct to pursue your case. If you are correct, great, you've potentially convinced more people. If you are wrong, you've done nothing but succeed in confusing town. Why not just wait until Day 3 to have this argument with Pops? We're in a state of the game where nothing you say right now can directly affect the vote, why do you insist on putting this out there now instead of waiting until after the flip so that you can say the same thing with an element of clout and understanding?

If you are scum, the answer is "because I'm trying to confuse town before Barros flips scum".

If you are town, the answer is "because I don't see the harm in it". Which is wrong. Wait until after the flip and learn from it first. Then go balls to the wall if you want.

You won't, though.

Fine, Moratorium, I will wait until after the flip. But keep this in mind. Pops started this little flareup by his dumb illogical outburst. I just wanted to counter his misinformation before the next day dawned. I honestly do not expect to survive the NK, so I felt this would be my last opportunity to make a case.

I don't recall being indecisive. I said several times I was merely pointing out things people may have overlooked. I think I stated my opinion rather unequivocally on page 8, the same page the Barros made his cop claim.

Too bad, so sad... your moderator has finally gotten the roles, and the thread is locked! Barros' undercooked corpse has been frosted and... baked... errr... strung up and sprinkled....
Actually, I have no idea what the hell STD's flavor for this game is supposed to mean. :? Just believe me when I say he's dead, and that's a good thing. :D

Final Vote Count of Day One:

Barros: 4 (Capricious, Moratorium, popsofctown, guy0)

Moratorium: 2 (Barros, jerseygoomba)

Not Voting: Mana_Ku

Barros,
Mafia Goon
, lynched Day 2.
It is now Night Two; any/all night actions are due to me no later than the end of Friday, Nov. 28th.

Mana Ku's karmic debt is clear; hopefully in his next life he'll be able to evolve in a bagel or other hol(e)y morsel.

Mana Ku, Townie, was killed Night Two.
It is now Day Three; with five left alive, three votes will be enough to lynch.

Investigation was blocked. Meaning we have a doctor and a mafia roleblocker.

Moratorium you're alive, which means we have a doctor and mafia roleblocker...

i'm most suspicious of jerseygoomba right now. His failure to pick up my sarcasm about him picking me for investigation makes me think he's phobic

Me being alive doesn't mean anything other than scum didn't target me. Mana_Ku was the one killed.

I don't know about that, but he's the only player remaining alive who didn't vote for Barros. Not sure what that says about him really.

Think it out. The only other setup was two goons and a cop, no doctor, no roleblocker. Being unable to roleblock you, the only good choice the mafia would have is killing you so you can't release another investigation result....

So yeah, the fact you are alive means we're in the doc-roleblocker setup. You didn't think about that during the night?

Read post 385.
I think pops was simply pointing out that there were two proofs of a mafia roleblocker being present (probably because he didn't see your first one), which were that 1. you said you were roleblocked, and 2. you were alive, because they mafia would know if there was a doc since they would or would not have a roleblocker, so they probably, unless they're stupid, tried to kill you.

What bugs me is the choice to kill mana_ku, I did not really see that coming. From what I remember, he didn't really seem to single out any one person, but he did point out why a few were suspicious.

as for jersey, well, I'd like to hear from him. I sorta think his being stagnant during day 2 in his unconditional belief of barros for the whole moratorium should have investigated pops this was not enough reason for him to be so fixed on trying to get moratorium, but, like i said before, let's hear what he has to say

We have two confirmeds already, being the cop and doc. All we need are three players we feel are solid town to win.

The doc can confirm himself by claiming, and I think that's the best course of action, because Moratorium has been reduced to, effectively, a vanilla.

What if we make our town's policy to claim doc or not when you reach L-1? To me that's all the taste, none of the fat. We retain the 0% chance of lynching our doctor (counterclaiming the doctor today is instant loss), but we might make it through the whole day without exposing our doctor to the scum (which drops our odds of a successful protect tonight to 0.

What thinkest thou?

First of all, mea culpa on Barros. He was scum and I apologize (as I said I would).

Now I have a quick newbie role-blocker question. Why wouldn't the role blocker have blocked Moratorium's first investigation. Is he/she only given the knowledge of a role to block after a claim is made? Does the roleblocker PM the mod and makes a guess if there is currently something to block? What is the mechanics?
